The second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes has finished, leaving fans waiting for more from the My Hero Academia universe. While a special epilogue episode will air on May 2nd, there’s still a wait for new seasons or episodes after that. The season finale, featuring a major battle with the Bombers and Knuckleduster’s fight with Number 6, was particularly exciting, making the wait for a potential Season 3 even harder.
The ending of the show jumps ahead two years, leaving some plot points unanswered – and a potential third season would need to address them. While it’s not confirmed if My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will get a Season 3, or when it might air, the source material (the manga) still has more story to tell. Here’s a rundown of everything we know about the chances of another season.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 3 Isn’t Confirmed Yet

Fans hoping for news about a third season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes after the second season ended will be disappointed – at least for now. While the anime hints at future episodes, there hasn’t been an official announcement about continuing the series, which is unusual given how quickly My Hero Academia typically confirms new seasons. With the English dub of Season 2 being released a few weeks later than the original, we might get an update when the dub reaches its conclusion.
During the finale, Koichi hints at what might happen with the series in the future. He’s applying for jobs and about to start his final year of college, and he ends his dialogue by saying, “The summer of my senior year in college…The Crawler’s final season!” This implies another season is coming, but it also makes us wonder if the third season will be the last. This is a little unexpected considering how much of the original manga is still left, but the creators might shorten the remaining story or finish it with a movie, similar to how Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle concluded its arc.
There Are Still Around 60 Chapters of Vigilantes’ Manga to Adapt

The second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes finishes adapting the ‘Sky Egg’ arc from the manga, though the anime presents it a bit differently than the original story. Before that, the series covered the ‘School Days’ arc, which actually happens later in the manga. This leaves about 61 chapters – three more story arcs – still to be adapted. While it could all be covered in one more season (if that season has 24-26 episodes instead of the usual 13), it might feel too fast-paced. So, comments about this being the “final season” might not be entirely accurate, and the story could potentially continue with movies or special episodes. Regardless, things are about to get more intense and the stakes are going to get higher, setting up a very exciting conclusion. Be warned: the following contains spoilers for manga chapters 66-126 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and hints at what’s to come in the anime.
Vigilantes Season 3’s Story: What It Could Cover Based on the Manga and Season 2 Finale

Following the events of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2, the story continues with three remaining arcs: Final Performance, Underground Masquerade, and Naruhata Lockdown. The Final Performance arc focuses on Koichi considering what comes next, while Kazuho struggles with the realization that their time as vigilantes is coming to an end. Taking advantage of this, Number 6 manipulates Kazuho into becoming the new host for Queen Bee, forcing Koichi to fight to rescue her. This arc promises to be an emotionally charged continuation of the story, and the groundwork for its dramatic conclusion is already being established.
The story then moves into the Underground Masquerade arc, where Detective Tanuma and Knuckleduster investigate an illegal fight club to find the origin of Trigger. Following that, the Naruhata Lockdown arc concludes Koichi’s journey in a dramatic showdown against Number 6, forcing him to go into hiding. While the danger isn’t quite as intense as in later seasons of My Hero Academia, the stakes are the highest they’ve ever been, giving fans plenty to anticipate in Season 3 and potentially beyond.
When My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 3 Could Release (If It Gets Confirmed)

I’ve been keeping up with My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, and right now, a third season hasn’t been officially announced. That means we don’t have a firm release date, but we can still guess. If it gets the go-ahead soon, I’d estimate we’ll probably see new episodes around 2027. The main My Hero Academia series usually has about a year between seasons, and Vigilantes has followed that pattern so far – Season 1 came out in 2025, and Season 2 in 2026. That’s a good sign! However, if this is the last season, the studio might take extra time to make sure it ends perfectly.
I’m curious if anyone is excited for Season 3 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes! If you are, head over to the ComicBook Forum and let’s talk about it – I’m joining the discussion there now!
