First Berserker: Khazan Players Are Getting Free Items to Celebrate the Game’s 1 Year Anniversary

To celebrate its one-year anniversary, First Berserker: Khazan is offering free gifts to players and sharing fun facts about the game’s community. This challenging action RPG is inspired by games like Dark Souls, but offers a unique experience with precise controls and engaging boss battles.

Despite not selling as many copies as expected at first, the developers of The First Berserker: Khazan (Neople) and its publisher (Nexon) have continued to update and add content to the game, which players have appreciated. While the Dungeon & Fighter world isn’t well-known in Western markets, Khazan proved there’s interest in the franchise beyond traditional fighting games. The game also stood out from other Soulslike titles with its focus on missions.

The First Berserker: Khazan Gives Players Free Anniversary Goodies

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of The First Berserker: Khazan, the game’s developer, Neople, is gifting all players with a special cosmetic set called Immortal Fury. This follows a previous promotion in June 2025 where players received the Pathfinder Package DLC for free along with new difficulty levels. The Immortal Fury set includes two armor styles, plus the Greatsword of Chronicles, the Dual Wield of Immortal Adamantine, and the Sanguine Vanguard Spear.

To celebrate the anniversary, Neople released some interesting gameplay stats. Players have collectively died over 273 million times since the game launched! Viper remains the most challenging boss, and Pincer Spider is the deadliest regular enemy. Surprisingly, falling off cliffs has caused over 20 million deaths! Other highlights include 40% of players achieving the “First Berserker” ending, Endurance being the most popular stat to upgrade, and one player completing the Hardcore difficulty in just 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Junho Lee, Creative Director of The First Berserker: Khazan, expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic response the game has received from players. He shared that he invested a great deal of personal effort into Khazan, considering it a pivotal project for his career, and was thrilled by the community’s support, honest feedback, and encouragement. While it may not reach the complexity of games like Souls, The First Berserker: Khazan distinguishes itself with thoughtful gameplay and unique features, making it a notable title in its genre.

Neople announced that they’re dedicated to improving the game based on player feedback. While The First Berserker: Khazan is now finished and feels complete, meaning major new content is unlikely, they may release a few more small updates to fix any remaining issues. Whether Neople and Nexon will create a sequel remains to be seen.
