More information about Lords of the Fallen 2, the sequel to the popular 2023 action RPG, is coming out, and the release month may have been revealed ahead of schedule. Dan Reagan, a Lead Systems Designer on the game, mentioned on his website that the game is “expected to release in August 2026.” This detail appeared in a post about his work on the project.
The message was recently edited to say, “I look forward to discussing it more here once the game has released!” However, a Reddit user named CrazyFly7494 took a screenshot of the original message before the change and shared it online.
It’s likely the release date being discussed is the one CI Games is aiming for. They might be waiting for certain development goals to be met before making an official announcement. Even though the previous game came out in October 2023, the company could be trying to avoid the crowded release schedule of the fall season.
Beyond the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6, which is shaping up to be one of the most expensive games ever created, there’s a lot more on the horizon. We’re expecting Marvel’s Wolverine, possibly the release of Gears of War: E-Day and Fable, and rumors suggest Halo: Campaign Evolved could launch before September.
