Gear Isle is taking its chocolate off the shelves.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! My favorite… well, let’s just say special chocolates – the Gold Lion and Ilum Sex chocolates – are being recalled! Apparently, they found something in them… something from Viagra! Like, an actual pharmaceutical ingredient! I was totally obsessed with these things, thinking they were just a fun little boost, and now I find out they had actual drug ingredients in them?! It’s insane! They’re saying it could be harmful, so I guess I shouldn’t eat any more… but seriously, I’m a little freaked out right now.
The US Food & Drug Administration recently warned that products containing undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil could be dangerous. These ingredients can interact with nitrates in certain medications, like nitroglycerin, and cause a potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure.
According to their statement, men with heart conditions who take nitrates are the most vulnerable group using these products. So far, Gear Isle hasn’t received any reports of problems related to the recall.
The adult store recently recalled its chocolate products after discovering they contained sildenafil, the main ingredient in Viagra used to treat erectile dysfunction. These chocolates were marketed as a dietary supplement to improve performance, stamina, and sexual health, according to the Mayo Clinic.
These products also contain tadalafil, an ingredient that, like others in its class, helps increase blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal, as explained by Urology Surgeons of Washington.
However, sildenafil can also cause side effects. These may include headaches and nausea, and in extremely rare instances, permanent vision loss, as reported by USW.

Besides nasal congestion, tadalafil may also lead to headaches, as well as back pain, coughing, and infections of the upper respiratory system.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m letting you know about the recent recall. Gear Isle is directly contacting customers with details on how to return the affected products and receive a full refund. If you happen to have any of these items, please stop using them immediately and follow the instructions for returning them – your safety and satisfaction are their priority!
The FDA advises people to talk to their doctor or other healthcare provider if they have any health concerns they think might be connected to this medication.

In August 2025, Dollar General recalled its eight-ounce packages of Clover Valley instant coffee because they might contain small pieces of glass. The recall affects products sold in 48 states across the U.S.
Dollar General is looking into how glass ended up in some of its products and has apologized for any trouble this has caused, according to a company statement.

In July 2025, New Mexico Piñon Coffee recalled its 10-pack of dark roast K-Cup pods after discovering that ink from the packaging could potentially leak into the brewed coffee. The company stated that this issue was limited to this specific product and no others were affected.
The company announced in a press release that customers who bought these products should discard them or return them for a refund.

In July 2025, the FDA announced a recall of two batches of Celsius’ ASTRO VIBE™ Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition. It turned out these cans actually contained High Noon hard seltzer, but were incorrectly labeled as the energy drink.
As a big fan of High Noon, I was really surprised to hear about the recall. Apparently, they figured out that their packaging supplier accidentally sent out empty cans instead of filled ones! They shared that this was a mistake on the supplier’s end, and they’re working to fix it. It’s good to see them being so upfront about what happened.

As a big Ritz fan, I was pretty concerned to hear about their recall this past July. Apparently, some packages of their peanut butter crackers were mislabeled, and the FDA warned it could be really dangerous – even life-threatening – for people with peanut allergies. This affected the 8-pack, 20-pack, and 40-pack boxes of the RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches, plus the 20-pack Variety Pack too. It was a scary situation, and I’m glad they acted quickly!
The FDA announced that individuals with peanut allergies or sensitivities could experience serious reactions if they eat this product. While all packaging correctly states the product ‘contains peanuts,’ the agency warned of the potential risk.

In 2023, Starbucks recalled its bottled Frappuccinos after discovering that some may have contained small pieces of glass. The company estimated around 300,000 bottles – about 25,000 cases – were affected. The recall specifically included Vanilla Frappuccinos with expiration dates between March and June of 2023.
A Starbucks spokesperson told NPR that the company was in the process of taking those items off sale.

In 2022, General Mills investigated reports from over 3,000 Lucky Charms customers who experienced stomach problems after eating the cereal.
The brand said on social media that keeping food safe is their main concern, and they assured customers they were taking any worries seriously.
However, the brand noted it must have been a lousy leprechaun trick.
According to their ongoing internal reviews, they haven’t found any proof that people have gotten sick from eating Lucky Charms.

In 2015, Bimbo Bakeries, maker of Sara Lee and Nature’s Harvest breads, recalled nearly 48,000 products after a lightbulb broke in one of their factories, according to a company announcement.
I was really concerned when I heard about the bread recall! Apparently, a customer found small pieces of glass on the outside of their bread packaging, and the company quickly issued a statement. It affected shipments to several states – including Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina, so a lot of people needed to check their bread.
