New details have surfaced about Tiger Woods’ arrest.
Following his arrest for driving under the influence on March 27th, the professional golfer declined a urine test. According to the arrest report obtained by TopMob News, deputies found two white pills in his left pocket during the arrest.
Investigators identified the pills as the opioid pain medication Hydrocodone based on their markings, according to court documents. The pills were then collected as evidence.
TopMob News has reached out to a rep for Woods for comment but has not yet heard back.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek has shared more information about Tiger Woods’ arrest, confirming that investigators believe he was driving under the influence when his car flipped over in Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27th.
According to investigators at the scene, Mr. Woods showed signs of being impaired. They conducted thorough roadside tests, and after evaluating the results, he was arrested and taken to the Martin County Jail, as stated by Budensiek in a press conference.
Budensiek stated his team didn’t suspect alcohol played a role in the incident, but the Drug Recognition Experts at the scene thought Woods’ sluggish behavior indicated he had taken some kind of medication or drug. When officers arrived, Woods wouldn’t take a test to confirm what, if anything, he had taken.
As the sheriff explained it, Mr. Woods completely failed his breathalyzer – the results were way over the limit. But when we asked him to take a urine test, he flat-out refused. Because of that, he’s now facing charges for driving under the influence, causing damage to property, and refusing to comply with a legal request for testing.

As a legal and safety expert, I often see situations like this unfold. Here’s the thing: he absolutely has the right to decline that test. While Florida law does allow charges to be filed for a refusal, the reality is, without him taking the test, we’ll never be able to pinpoint exactly what, if anything, contributed to his impairment at the time of the accident. It creates a tricky situation for everyone involved.
According to Budensiek, Woods was driving his Land Rover quickly on a two-lane road when he collided with a pick-up truck, causing his vehicle to roll over onto its side.
It was scary to hear about the accident, but thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. I read that Tiger actually had to climb out of the passenger side because of how things were. He told the first responders about the pain he was in and reminded them about all his previous surgeries, which must have been incredibly difficult.
