The game Zero Parades: For Dead Spies will be released on PC on May 21st.
I was so happy to hear that Disco Elysium 2 is still aiming for a 2026 release on PS5! ZA/UM confirmed it’s still happening, though they said it’ll probably be towards the end of the year rather than earlier. It’s good to know it’s still on track, even if we have to wait a little longer.
If you’re unfamiliar with Zero Parades, it’s the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, though it’s important to note it’s not quite a direct continuation.
Just to clarify, the team behind Disco Elysium is no longer together at ZA/UM. Several of the lead creators left the company shortly after the game came out, and it became clear the departure wasn’t amicable.
Several of these artists said they felt they had to leave and have now started their own groups at other companies.
So far, the response to Zero Parades hasn’t been great. Many fans of Disco Elysium feel ZA/UM is trying to capitalize on that game’s popularity by presenting Zero Parades as a follow-up, despite the fact that most of the original development team has moved on from the company.
The article begins with a striking trailer featuring a quote urging fans of Disco Elysium to add the game to their wishlist. Also, viewers can’t use the ‘Like’ button on the YouTube video.
This whole situation has been chaotic, so it will be fascinating to see how Zero Parades performs when it releases on PC in a few months.
