Bindi Irwin is opening up about her health journey.
A wildlife conservationist has undergone more than 50 surgeries in the last three years to remove endometriosis lesions. She described the pain following these procedures as severe and unrelenting.
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve and Terri Irwin, recently shared on Instagram that she struggled for ten years with an undiagnosed illness. In a post accompanying photos from a hospital bed, she explained that doctors initially dismissed her symptoms as simply ‘part of being a woman.’ She described feeling weak, insecure, and trapped in her own body as a teenager and young woman while trying to cope with the condition in private.
She revealed she had several surgeries, including one to remove a cyst from her ovary, an appendectomy, and a hernia repair. She described the cyst as being stuck to the side of her ovary.
The 27-year-old mother of 5-year-old Grace, who is married to Chandler Powell, has openly shared her struggles with endometriosis. She hopes that by sharing her experience, she can encourage other women who are also dealing with this condition.
As a dedicated supporter, it means so much to me that March is endometriosis awareness month. With the month ending, I really want to encourage everyone to keep this often-invisible illness in mind all year round. Let’s offer kindness, understanding, and support to the millions of women who are struggling. It feels like it’s our collective responsibility to not only spread awareness about endometriosis, but to champion women’s health in general.
She continued, saying that no one should have to struggle alone. If you’re hurting, she feels deeply for you, and wants you to know she believes you. She encourages you to seek help and to keep believing in yourself, understanding that it’s not always easy.
Bindi Irwin’s recent health news follows her brother Robert Irwin’s support for her advocacy for better women’s healthcare.
He explained to TopMob News in September that dealing with endometriosis is a continuous challenge, and there’s no easy or immediate solution.
Robert, 22, emphasized that women’s health needs to be a central topic of conversation. He explained that historically, and even today, it hasn’t received enough attention or research.
“We really need advocates to stand up,” he added, “and to get the word out there—men and women.”

Former Total Bellas star Nikki Bella shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during an elbow strike from wrestler Piper Niven in a match back in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as her career was over, she’d return to address the problem, ensuring everything looked its best for future endeavors. She wanted to make sure things were presentable, because she anticipated a lot of activity ahead and didn’t want it to look bad.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This often leaves them dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t posted recently. Suki replied, jokingly suggesting the reason was a hernia she got six months ago from wearing overly tight pants, which she’s been afraid to mention.

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain, which led him to the emergency room. Doctors discovered his appendix had a hole in it – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

During a soccer game against the Seattle Reign on September 14th, a Racing Louisville midfielder collapsed shortly after the game began at Lumen Field in Seattle.
It was really scary watching her during the game. I saw her slowly lower herself to the field, and a teammate was right there to support her. Then, just seconds later, she collapsed. They immediately called for trainers, and honestly, it was a really worrying moment.
As a huge NWSL fan, I was so relieved to see the league quickly share an update on Savannah after what happened. They said medical staff immediately helped her on the field and she was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out. Thankfully, they also said she was stable and alert, which was such a weight off my mind!

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from a childhood accident – he was hit by a cement truck when he was 11 – continue to cause him problems now.
“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying, “My body has a few quirks and isn’t quite perfect.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
I was really shocked listening to him on his Trading Secrets podcast back in March 2025. He described how his knees still felt tingly, which is wild considering what he told us. He said just a few weeks before – maybe a month – he was squatting almost 300 pounds! But now, he can’t even do a squat, can’t balance on one foot, and actually falls over. He even said it felt like he’d had a stroke, which was really concerning to hear.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

The comedian later posted on social media to explain he’d actually been suffering from food poisoning, but was starting to feel better.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was accidentally shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
I was shot in the face by someone at another party who fired a gun unsafely in the wrong direction,” she explained in an Instagram post. “Brendan Rooney quickly checked me over and drove me to the hospital. I was hit five times, and one bullet came within an inch of my right eye.
The former Kim Possible star explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against surgery to remove it right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, as their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she loves her family and friends, saying she realized how precious life is. “Seeing everything pass before my eyes made me understand that you should cherish every moment and hug the people you care about,” she explained. “Things can change so quickly.”

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its downsides, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing comments about her “puffy” face following interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her face that concerned them, leading Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. These injections caused the Cushing syndrome, something she wouldn’t have known about without the online feedback. In a recent newsletter, Amy expressed relief that her condition is temporary and she is healthy, calling it the best news she could have received.

During a game in December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She then found she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually subsided, Hailey went to the hospital where tests revealed she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA discovered she had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to reach her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on one side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that they were grateful he was going to be okay after what she described as a frightening and unexpected situation.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he’d had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running in the first challenge of the NBC competition show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced a bright light, leading her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
After being rushed to the hospital, doctors discovered she’d suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding in the space around the brain. The cause was a ruptured aneurysm, and she immediately underwent surgery to repair it. The pain was excruciating, and during her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak clearly.
Though she left the hospital after a month, a scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform an even more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she’s “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how thankful she is for her family’s support after a health scare. In January 2024, Cori suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones, sending a text and picture to let them know what happened. She told TopMob News that everyone quickly came to her aid.
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. In addition to recovering from the stroke, she was also dealing with problems related to lupus and kidney failure.
Fortunately, Cori is now recovering well. She says she’s feeling great and has been working on regaining some motor skills, but is otherwise doing fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and persistent stomach pain. She consulted many doctors but received conflicting diagnoses.
Shailene, who has kept the specifics of her condition private, decided to take a holistic approach, combining traditional medical care with alternative healing methods and herbalism, which she studies.
It took ten years, but Shailene eventually began to feel better. The physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and eventually issues with body image and identity. She described a confusing and challenging period of self-discovery.
Ultimately, Shailene’s health problems resolved themselves, and she is now very healthy and happy to say so.
