*Warning: Spoilers for Wednesday 1st April’s episode of Coronation Street, available now on ITVX.*

On Coronation Street, Maggie Driscoll (played by Pauline McLynn) unexpectedly altered the plans of a key antagonist in the episode airing April 1st, 2026.

Will, Maggie’s grandson (played by Lucas Hodgson-Wale), seemed determined to pretend everything was normal, leaving his parents, Ben (Aaron McCusker) and Eva (Catherine Tyldesley), hoping he wasn’t with Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon).

Megan manipulated and harmed Will, and is now expecting his child. This pregnancy could provide the evidence needed to press charges against her.

Despite being investigated by the police, she won’t take a paternity test, even though she claims she’s done nothing wrong.

Secretly, Will met with Megan at her new flat, and appeared loved-up as they spoke of their child.

Will continues to think he’s in a genuine relationship with Megan, but she’s taken advantage of him terribly.

Maggie was following Will, using a tracking device to find him at his apartment. However, when she arrived, only Megan was there.

Maggie told Megan to stop bothering Will and to walk away. She strongly warned Megan didn’t understand how dangerous Will could be, but she didn’t threaten physical harm herself.

At least, until Megan lashed out at Maggie, and Maggie knocked her down in self-defence.

Ben and Eva at The Rovers were concerned when Will didn’t come to school. When he finally returned, he explained that he’d been bullied because of Megan.

Later, though, Will met up with Megan, who had been calling him urgently.

Some viewers noticed clues in earlier spoilers suggesting Megan’s pregnancy might not go to completion, and she now confirms she has unfortunately had a miscarriage following recent events.

As a critic, I’m really wondering how all of this affects Will’s storyline, and more importantly, will it create enough doubt that the police can’t definitively prove Megan is guilty? It throws everything into question, and I’m eager to see how it plays out.
