Sony has officially announced its PS Plus Essential monthly games for April 2026.
We had seen information about two of these things previously, as it was shared online a few days before the official announcement.
You can get these two games, plus other free games for next month, starting Tuesday, April 7th, 2026. Here’s what’s on offer:
- Lords of the Fallen (PS5) | Review
- Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream (PS5)
- Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered (PS5, PS4) | Review
Lords of the Fallen stands out as a particularly strong new release – a well-made action RPG in the style of the Souls series, and it brings some fresh concepts to the table. The developers, CI Games, have consistently added updates since it came out in 2023, so it might be worth checking out even if you weren’t interested before.
Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is a game based on the anime, offering both a story-driven single-player experience and the ability to play with others online. If you like action RPGs with fast-paced combat, or if you’re already familiar with Sword Art Online, this game is worth a look.
The classic Tomb Raider games don’t need much explaining. Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered faithfully updates the original trilogy for today’s computers and consoles, offering improved graphics, new additions, and more comfortable controls.
These games are available to all PlayStation Plus members, no matter their subscription level. However, you must add them to your library by May 5th, 2026, or they will be removed.
