Okay, so I’ve been following the development of Blacklist by MindsEye, and things have been… rocky, to say the least. But this is getting wild! The CEO, Mark Gerhard, recently spoke to GamesBeat and basically said the game’s bad launch wasn’t just bad development – he’s claiming there was actual corporate espionage and sabotage involved. He even hinted that an upcoming mission in Redrock will directly address those responsible. Honestly, I usually love hearing about studios adding cool stuff to their games, but this situation feels different – it’s not just about innovation, it’s about someone allegedly trying to ruin the game!
We have solid proof and have been investigating this issue extensively since it began. We’ve determined who was involved and have turned the case over to law enforcement in both the U.K. and the U.S. They are helping us, but are now leading the investigation. Things aren’t looking good. We initially hoped MindsEye could recover after its poor launch, but a recent update seems to be causing even more problems instead of improving the experience at Redrock. It’s shaping up to be a memorable addition to an otherwise forgettable experience.
