This spring, Marvel is set to release more TV shows than ever before, marking a historic moment for the franchise. While Marvel previously made a splash in television with series like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage on Netflix, the launch of Disney+ in 2021 has allowed them to significantly expand and prioritize their TV content library.

Marvel has announced that a special presentation featuring the Punisher, originally titled The Punisher: One Last Kill, will premiere on Disney+ on May 12th. This release is scheduled just one week after the season finale of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. As a result, fans can expect two Marvel television projects to be released in the spring of 2026.

Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir series, inspired by the character from Into the Spider-Verse, will also be released in late May. It will debut on MGM+ on May 25th, and then become available on Amazon Prime Video on May 27th.
Now that The Punisher has a release date of May 12th, we know that three Marvel TV shows – Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, The Punisher: One Last Kill, and Spider-Noir – will all premiere in Spring 2026. This is unprecedented; never before have so many live-action Marvel shows been released in a single spring season.

Marvel fans can expect a steady stream of new shows from March to May. Daredevil: Born Again is already releasing episodes weekly, and immediately after that, The Punisher: One Last Kill will be available. Shortly after, Spider-Noir is set to premiere.
This isn’t the first time Marvel has premiered three live-action series within the same season. Back in Fall 2017, Inhumans debuted on ABC on September 29th, followed by Season 1 of The Punisher on Netflix on November 17th, and then Season 1 of Runaways on Hulu on November 21st. These three shows all launched between September and November of that year.
The upcoming Spring 2026 lineup looks stronger than the Fall 2017 releases because two of its shows, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 and The Punisher: One Last Kill, are connected and take place within the same Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The three shows released in 2017, however, each belonged to separate universes.
Will Marvel Ever Have Another Release Slate Like This?
As a longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, I have to say, their Spring 2026 lineup is genuinely groundbreaking. Considering the MCU has been delivering superhero stories for nearly two decades, and Marvel’s been around for even longer, I’ve never seen anything quite like this. It’s a truly historic moment for the franchise.
It’s likely we’ll see more seasons of Marvel’s street-level heroes. After the announcement of a third season for Daredevil: Born Again, it’s reasonable to expect a future project featuring Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, especially since she appeared in season two of Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel seems committed to expanding these types of stories and characters.
If Marvel decides to make a Disney+ series about Jessica Jones, it might launch around the same time as the third season of Daredevil: Born Again. However, to avoid having three Marvel shows premiere close together, another studio – like Sony – would likely need to release a different project, similar to Spider-Noir.
It’s very likely, given that Sony has announced plans to relaunch its Spider-Man universe. Seeing how successful Marvel Studios has been with TV series, Sony might follow suit and develop several of its own shows, potentially releasing one around the time of two major Marvel Cinematic Universe releases.
