Most popular franchises try to refresh their games with new features, but one major title is taking it to the next level. Not only is this successful game becoming available digitally, but it’s also added a completely new roguelite mode, offering a unique player-versus-environment experience that fans of Slay the Spire are sure to enjoy.
Dice Throne Digital, one of the year’s most awaited Kickstarter projects, is bringing the exciting dice-rolling gameplay of the board game to computers and other devices. You’ll be able to play the classic one-on-one matches, and also experience a brand new Campaign mode. This mode is a roguelite adventure, taking inspiration from games like Dice Throne Adventures and Slay the Spire. You can watch a first look at the Campaign mode in the teaser trailer below.
Everything We Know About Dice Throne Digital’s Anticipated Launch

As a long-time fan, I’m so excited that Dice Throne is finally getting a digital version! They just launched a Kickstarter, which is amazing news. For those who don’t know, Dice Throne is all about these really cool, unique heroes, each with their own way of playing and special powers. What makes it so fun is how you use those powers – you roll dice, and get three tries to get the combination you need. Then, you assign the symbols you rolled to the abilities you want to use to take down your opponent. It’s a really satisfying system!

The game is quick, enjoyable, and offers a good balance of strategy, becoming more intricate as you unlock more characters. At launch, it will be available on Android, iOS, Steam, and Meta Quest, with two ways to play. Classic mode replicates the original Dice Throne tabletop experience, but with added digital features and a streamlined interface.
Campaign mode is the second way to play, and it’s similar to games like Dice Throne Adventures and Slay the Spire. You’ll journey through a branching map filled with tough enemies and bosses, all while collecting powerful upgrades – some of which are permanent – to help you reach and defeat the Mad King.

This new mode will have four increasingly difficult stages, each culminating in a boss battle. Along the way, you’ll face various enemies and improve your hero by upgrading your card deck and collecting powerful relics, changing how you play. You can also customize your strategy with a versatile shop system during each run, and choose from three different difficulty settings.

If the campaign does well, the developers have hinted at some exciting additions. One possibility is an Unlimited Mode, letting you use your best heroes from the campaign in player-versus-player battles. They’re also considering adding more detailed stories focused on each hero, and creating even harder difficulty levels for a greater challenge.
I’m really excited to see where they take this new game mode and everything else Dice Throne Digital has in store! We’ll find out a lot more details when their Kickstarter starts on April 14th, 2026, and I’m already counting down the days.
