The trailer for ‘Mother Mary’ is out, and it’s really striking! It gives off a similar feel to the movie ‘Black Swan,’ which is a good sign.

What’s the Mother Mary trailer about?

Old hurts resurface for pop superstar Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) when she reconnects with her longtime best friend and former costume designer, Sam Anselm (Michaela Coel), just before a highly anticipated comeback concert.

The film stars Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Alba Baptista, and Isaura Barbé-Brown, with Sian Clifford and FKA Twigs also featured. It’s directed by David Lowery, known for films like Disney’s ‘Peter Pan & Wendy,’ ‘The Green Knight,’ ‘The Old Man and the Gun’ (Robert Redford’s final acting role), the remake of ‘Pete’s Dragon,’ and the critically acclaimed ‘A Ghost Story.’ Lowery’s previous work is consistently strong, and his latest film, ‘Mother Mary’ – which he also wrote – appears to be continuing that trend.

The movie will also have a soundtrack album called ‘The Mother Mary: Greatest Hits,’ released on April 17th. It will include extra tracks from Anne Hathaway, Charli XCX, and Jack Antonoff.
