Pfeifer Hill is setting the record straight.
The 23-year-old explained why she didn’t attend the Age of Attraction season one reunion, stating that the explanation given by hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy on the April 1st Viall Files podcast wasn’t the full story.
As Nick and Natalie mentioned during the reunion, Pfeifer was in Japan celebrating a birthday when news of her split from Derrick Flemming became public. However, there were additional reasons why she chose to keep her distance from others at the time.
Pfeifer shared in a TikTok video that she prioritizes being genuine, even if it means going against the grain. She explained that she only wants to discuss her work on podcasts she truly believes in and feels connected to, and she wants to control when and where she first talks about it, choosing platforms that fit her personal brand.
Pfeifer clarified that her choice wasn’t meant as a slight to anyone – not even the show’s hosts, Nick and Natalie, or her co-stars on Age of Attraction. However, she stressed that she simply wanted to share her experiences in her own way.
“What’s wonderful about being human is our individuality,” said the graphic designer from Seattle. “We should embrace those differences and value people for who they truly are. I made a particular decision because it felt true to my own values and allowed me to be myself.”
Okay, so about Derrick… it totally broke my heart seeing them split! She finally told us what really happened after the show. Apparently, things just didn’t work out after they left the set, and she finally revealed where they stand now. Honestly, I was so invested in them, I needed to know!
She stressed that she and Derrick parted ways amicably. She doesn’t hold any grudges against anyone from the show and wanted to keep things peaceful. Ultimately, she just wanted to prioritize her own well-being.

While going through this, Pfeifer also found love again and was fully focused on her new relationship.
She revealed that she’s in a relationship with her best friend, and it’s already bringing her a lot of happiness. Her boyfriend surprised her with a birthday trip to Japan, which she was excited about, even though it meant changing plans she’d already made.
She emphasized that her boyfriend always comes first, even more important than her work, publicity, or anything related to the show. She believes a good relationship is more valuable than any positive press and confirmed she wouldn’t have gone to an event even if she’d originally planned to.
Ultimately, Pfeifer is thankful to those who have supported her along the way.
Ultimately, I joined the show hoping to find love, and I actually did – just not with anyone on the show. Love is the most important thing to me, and I’m very happy with what I have now,” she explained, then added with a laugh, “I really just keep to myself, honestly!”
Although Pfeifer defends what she did, she also confessed in her TikTok post that she occasionally wondered if she’d made the right choices.
I’d be dishonest if I said I hadn’t felt a little fear of missing out or wondered if I should have just done what everyone else was doing. But I’m proud of the choice I made and I fully support it.
Pfeifer and Derrick weren’t the only couple to break up after the first season of Age of Attraction ended. Here’s an update on what happened with the other couples…

Okay, so here’s the thing – relationships sometimes require big adjustments, right? I’ve seen it time and time again. In this case, despite being 20 years apart in age, she really wanted to give things a chance with him, who already had two kids. She made the brave decision to uproot her life, leaving Seattle and moving to Dallas, hoping they could build a future together. It wasn’t about ‘sacrifice’ as much as it was about prioritizing love and being willing to put in the effort to make it work.
She told him at their commitment ceremony that finding him felt like the greatest luck. ‘So many people search their whole lives for something like this,’ she said. ‘I’d always regret it if I left here without you.’
A year later, Derrick went to the reunion by himself. It turned out to be too difficult for Pfeifer to relocate across the country, and they ended their relationship about a month after the show was filmed.
He found out she lived near a lot of college fraternities and sororities while sending her belongings back to Seattle from Dallas. He commented that she was still living a college lifestyle, but was about to start a very different life, helping to raise a five-year-old. He felt it was a big change for her.

Theresa received a supportive letter from her three grown children, which gave her the confidence to ignore any criticism about their age difference (she was 54, he was 27). Feeling encouraged, they decided to pursue a relationship.
Knowing they wrote that to you makes me feel so much better and happier. I hadn’t even seen what it said. That’s why I don’t want to end things here,” she explained, then quietly added, “What really matters is our connection, not how long we’ve known each other.”
During a reunion episode set to air in April 2026, the couple announced they had broken up. Theresa explained that John’s sister and another person from the show made her feel self-conscious about getting older. She said these feelings overwhelmed her, and John wasn’t able to offer the support she needed.
Theresa explained she really needed support and encouragement, but didn’t receive it. John concurred, adding that age wasn’t the problem unless they focused on it, and that Theresa felt self-conscious about being seen in public and receiving unwanted attention.

Vanessa was enthusiastic about a relationship, even saying she wanted to share her life with Logan, but he wasn’t sure. He worried the age gap – she was twenty years older – meant they weren’t a good match, and told her he might not be what she needed.
He questioned whether their relationship was harmful or good for them, and on Commitment Day, asked for the promise ring back.
Once they removed the rings, Logan was finally prepared to commit to her, and surprisingly, he proposed.
He described their journey together as an exciting, unpredictable experience, but said he’s fully committed for the long haul. He expressed his deep love, saying she deserves all the best things in life, including a championship ring like the one Kobe Bryant received.
He proposed with an engagement ring, asking her to spend the rest of her life with him, and she happily accepted. This will be her fifth time getting engaged.

Chris, 15 years younger than Leah, ended the relationship because he felt overwhelmed by her constant desire to be with him.
We’ve discussed our differing views and were upfront about what we each expect in a relationship. It seems we both ultimately want a family and to settle down, but maybe we envision that happening at different times. He added that the age gap created unnecessary stress, and for the first time, he felt unable to be himself.
As he put it, “That’s why ultimately, I feel that this partnership is not right.”
So, how did Leah react to the breakup?
I’ve always wanted someone to choose me, but I wasn’t going to lower myself to ask for it. I also realized I can’t change anyone to fit my ideal. I came to this retreat hoping to find love, but it didn’t happen. Ultimately, I learned a lot about myself – I’m strong, smart, and beautiful – and whoever I end up with will be lucky to have me.

Despite worrying he might hold Libby back from enjoying her twenties, she explained to Andrew, who is sixteen years older, that she believed he would simply enhance her life.
He told her, “It feels like things are finally going my way, like this could be the start of a really happy relationship, you know, like in a movie.” He laughed and added, “I’m being totally cheesy, I know. I’ve been thinking about where things could go from here. I’m not sure what people call it now—like a ‘hard launch’ or a ‘soft launch,’ probably something more modern—but I’d really like to leave here with you as my girlfriend.”
Libby agreed, with the pair making plans for her to go to Baltimore to meet his daughters.
They were still a couple at the April 2026 reunion, even though they were living apart and planning to eventually move to Florida together, with him also intending to spend some time in Baltimore.
She hadn’t yet met his children, and Andrew explained they were still working out how to make a long-distance relationship work before introducing them.
He described the relationship as still feeling new and exciting, even though they only see each other once a month. He explained they haven’t had a chance to see how things would work when dealing with the everyday challenges of spending a lot of time together.

Despite a significant age difference – he was 33 years older than her – the couple didn’t last until the final Commitment Day. They broke up while still living together, due to disagreements about Vanelle choosing to remain celibate and an incident where Jorge argued with someone on the street.
However, she noted, “I don’t necessarily think it has anything to do with his age.”
Vanelle explained that misunderstandings with Jorge stemmed from a lack of clear communication about their boundaries. She said the romantic connection they shared led to confusion about whether they were still abstaining from a physical relationship, and they never had a serious discussion to clarify things.
He confessed he still had feelings for her, describing their connection as incredibly strong and unique. She responded by saying she had always seen him as her husband, and no one else.
