2026 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for anime fans! The winter season brought back some all-time favorites and introduced a promising lineup of new series. Highly anticipated sequels like Jujutsu Kaisen and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End are highlights, alongside exciting new shows such as Sentenced to be a Hero and You and I Are Polar Opposites which quickly gained popularity. While Crunchyroll continues to be a major streaming platform for anime, Netflix is also releasing its own selection of new titles each month.
Popular anime like Love Through a Prism and Cosmic Princess Kaguya have been huge successes this year, and Netflix consistently adds more exciting shows. While many anime are available, Netflix focuses on releasing a select few new series and films each month, and most of them can only be streamed on their platform. With March here, we’ve put together a list of ten must-watch anime – both series and films – for you to enjoy this month.
10) Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song

A fantastic sci-fi anime from WIT Studio that didn’t get enough attention when it first came out in 2021 is coming to Netflix on April 4th, 2026. Though critics loved it, the series—which tells the story of Vivy, an AI singer, and her 100-year quest to prevent a catastrophic future for humanity—didn’t find a large audience. Now, more people will have a chance to discover this hidden gem.
9) Witch Watch

The popular fantasy series, originally published in Shonen Jump, is confirmed to return for a second season, though details haven’t been released yet. You can currently watch the first season on Netflix. The story follows Nico Wakatsuki, who reconnects with her childhood friend, Morihito Otogi, after years of training as a witch. What Nico doesn’t know is that a danger is approaching, and Morihito has a secret role to play in protecting her – he must become her familiar.
8) Wind Breaker

Good news for anime fans! Both seasons of this popular action series are now available on Netflix, making it a great time to start watching. The story centers around Haruka Sakura, a troublemaker who moves to a new town looking to establish himself as a fighter. He quickly discovers, though, that the tough reputation of Furin High School is a facade – they’re actually protecting the town from dangerous gangs.
7) Cosmic Princess Kaguya

Twin Engine’s beautiful new film, released in January, tells the story of two girls who connect through music. They find themselves in Tsukuyomi, a magical virtual world built on dreams and aspirations. The film is a fresh take on the classic Japanese folktale, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.
6) From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke

I’m a huge fan of this sweet Shojo romance, and I’m a little heartbroken to say it’s leaving the platform in July! That means there’s only a short time left to fall in love with the whole story. It centers around Sawako Kuronuma, a really kind girl who has a tough time making friends. She’s insecure and people tend to avoid her because of her long, dark hair and the sad impression she gives off – but honestly, that’s what makes her so endearing!
5) Beastars

After a long wait, the final season of Beastars came out in March, and all episodes are now available to watch. The season picks up after Legoshi’s battle with Riz, as he decides to leave school and start a new life at the Beast Apartments.
4) Blue Box

The highly anticipated second season of this popular sports anime, featured in Shonen Jump, is coming in October. You can already watch the first season now! The story follows Taiki Inomata, a new student who unexpectedly ends up living with Chinatsu Kano, the star of the girls’ basketball team and his secret crush.
3) Gintama

This popular series, originally published in Shonen Jump, started streaming this January. Even after over twenty years, the funny and lighthearted show continues to gain fans who love following the everyday adventures of Gintoki Sakata and his companions.
2) Overlord

Many fans consider Overlord to be one of the greatest isekai anime ever made. It centers around Momonga, who finds himself trapped in the virtual world of a popular game after its servers shut down. Now in the body of his skeletal avatar, he decides to conquer this new world, figure out what happened, and see if anyone else is stuck like him.
1) Love Through a Prism

The beautiful anime series, created by WIT Studio, premiered in January 2026 and quickly gained a dedicated following. It’s written by Yoko Kamio, a famous manga artist known for popular series like Boys Over Flowers. The story follows Lili Ichijouin as she moves from Japan to London in the 1990s to attend the esteemed Saint Thomas Art Academy.
