Originally revealed in December 2024 as a multiplayer stealth game, Thick As Thieves is now being developed by OtherSide Entertainment as a single-player or two-player cooperative experience, according to a recent update from Megabit.
Fans haven’t seen new gameplay footage in over a year, but a trailer will finally be revealed at the Triple-i Initiative on April 9th.
Here is the full message from OtherSide Entertainment:
Fellow Thieves,
The Triple-I Initiative is happening in just under two weeks, on April 9th! We’ll be revealing a brand-new gameplay trailer for Thick as Thieves, along with some other exciting surprises. We have a quick update to share before the show.
When we initially announced Thick as Thieves, our plan was to center the game around players competing against each other while also battling the environment. But as we built the world of Kilcairn, we discovered we enjoyed playing the game on our own or with friends much more.
We’ve decided to focus Thick as Thieves on two-player and single-player experiences. This means the game will primarily be designed for cooperative play with a friend or for playing solo.
We’ve been concentrating our efforts on what really makes Thick as Thieves stand out: exciting, fast-paced stealth gameplay. This is already making the game more engaging, whether you’re playing by yourself or with a friend in co-op. We’ve had a lot of fun during testing, and now we’re working hard to polish everything and get it ready for release.
We’re thrilled to share more about Thick as Thieves at the Triple-i Initiative! While you wait, join the conversation and connect with us about the game on our official Discord server.
Your partners in crime,
OtherSide Entertainment
The game Thick As Thieves is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store) in 2026.
