Since Nintendo announced the Switch 2, fans have been eager to hear about a brand new 3D Super Mario game. However, news about that game hasn’t appeared yet. Instead, Nintendo released an updated version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder for the Switch 2, adding a new area called Bellabel Park. Plus, the Super Mario Galaxy movie just came out in theaters, and there’s been a lot of related merchandise, like bath bombs from LUSH and a Hatchin’ Yoshi toy. Now, a new Mario game is available to coincide with the movie’s release.
It’s not a new Super Mario game, but fans will be excited to hear that Hasbro has released a Super Mario Galaxy version of Monopoly! The updated board game is available now at Amazon, Walmart, and Target, and is sure to be a popular collectible for fans of both Monopoly and Super Mario.
New Super Mario Galaxy-Inspired Monopoly Game Hits Shelves Today
I have to admit, Monopoly is a classic for a reason! It might drive you a little crazy and maybe even cause some arguments, but it’s still a blast to play. And if you’re a collector like me, you know there are so many different versions out there! We’ve seen editions themed around everything from the X-Men and World of Warcraft to The Legend of Zelda. Seriously, there have been multiple Super Mario Monopoly games, even one that came out with the first Super Mario Bros. movie! Now, as a huge Super Mario Galaxy fan, I’m thrilled to hear about the new edition of Monopoly based on that game. It’s definitely going on my wishlist!
The latest version of Monopoly is taking players to the world of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie! Instead of traditional properties, you’ll be able to buy locations from the film and travel through the galaxy. Forget cash – you’ll collect coins and adorable Lumas. Watch out, though – Bowser Jr. is lurking, ready to stir up trouble!
The game board includes spaces called “Bowser Jr.’s Rage” that make you draw a card with a negative effect. However, you can also acquire valuable properties like Bowser’s Prison or Mario and Luigi’s house if you manage your resources well. And just like in traditional Monopoly, you’ll collect rent from your friends when they land on your properties.
This special edition of Monopoly isn’t just about the game board – it’s been completely updated with a Super Mario Galaxy Movie theme! You’ll find character tokens inspired by the film, like Peach’s umbrella and a Yoshi egg. The game also includes Luma tokens, coins, and cards featuring artwork from the movie, making it a brand new version perfect for fans and collectors.
You can now find The Super Mario Galaxy Movie edition of Monopoly in stores! It’s priced at $24.99 and is the newest addition to the collection of Nintendo-themed Monopoly games.
