Snowball Earth release schedule: When are new episodes on Crunchyroll?

If you’re in need of a new anime, Snowball Earth might be right up your street.

This new series is based on Yuhiro Tsujitsugu’s manga and tells the story of Tetsuo and his robot companion, Yukio, as they battle monsters that are endangering Earth.

Their journey ends with a final fight, bringing them back to Earth—but they discover the planet has been transformed into a frozen world of snow and ice.

What’s the plot of Snowball Earth?

After a devastating battle, Yukio was killed and Tetsuo managed to flee in an escape pod. Eight years later, the pod returns to Earth, having kept Tetsuo in a frozen, suspended state.

When Tetsuo awakens, he discovers a devastated world, completely covered in ice and snow – a frozen Earth! He’s left wondering what happened to everyone, how the planet became so cold, and if he can fulfill the final promise he made to Yukio.
