The next Battlefield game is introducing many new features, while also keeping some of the well-received changes from the recent Nightfall update.
Even though the Nightfall event is finishing and the Hunter/Prey update is on its way, the popular VL-7 Smoke and Night Mode will remain in the game. We’re also planning to improve how you progress, expanding these changes to vehicles, weapons, your career, and REDSEC. Our goal is to make the game faster-paced and more enjoyable, building on what we believe was a strong foundation when it launched.
So, the new Hunter/Prey update is basically wrapping up Season 2, and it’s a big one! They’re adding the VL-7 to the Gauntlet permanently, which is awesome. Plus, they’ve made a bunch of balancing tweaks and quality-of-life improvements – you can find the full list here. It’s dropping on April 14, 2026, and honestly, I think it’ll be a nice way for those of us who miss playing Battlefield Hardline on consoles to fill the void. Hopefully, the game just keeps getting better and better with all these updates!
