Michael B. Jordan is certainly not a sinner in the eyes of his niece and nephew.
The recent Oscar winner showed his heartwarming side by having his niece and nephew, Lenox and Zorah Jordan-Theus, help him reveal the trailer for his upcoming Netflix animated film, Swapped. His sister, Jamila Jordan-Theus, was also present.
Michael was featured in a TikTok video posted on April 2nd. In the video, he sat on the grass with Lenox, who cheerfully introduced him as “Hi, this is my Uncle Mike!” while wearing a bright yellow shirt.
Once Uncle Mike finished showing everyone what was coming, he quietly reminded Zorah of her line: “Hope you like it!”
Throughout the event, Chadwick Boseman’s nephew kept smiling for the camera, and just before they began filming, he waved enthusiastically with both hands, his smile growing even wider.
Michael, who also has a brother named Khalid Jordan, enjoyed making the short, playful video with his nephew. However, he’s shared before how worried he used to be about keeping his nephew safe as a young child.
He’s really starting to move around now,” he said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021, when his nephew was about a year and four months old. “He’s learning how to use his legs, and if you don’t watch him closely, he’ll quickly wander off!”
The former All My Children actor mentioned he’d like to have children someday, but he won’t be naming his son after his father, Michael A. Jordan, breaking with family tradition.
He explained that he was determined to stop the pattern of placing expectations on his children. He felt the weight of living up to his father’s reputation was too much, and he didn’t want to burden his own child with the same pressure. He wants his son to develop his own identity and live life on his own terms.
As for where Michael currently stands on his timeline for becoming a dad?
He shared on a December episode of the Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction that he hopes to have children someday, but wants to practice being a caregiver first. He explained his plan is to start with plants, then get a dog if he can successfully care for the plants. If he can handle a dog well, he feels he’ll be ready for kids.
