Joseph Duggar has returned home after pleading not guilty to child molestation charges in Florida.
Following his release on a $600,000 bond, former 19 Kids and Counting star Jim Bob Duggar has returned to Arkansas with his wife, Kendra Duggar, according to his attorney, Albert J. Sauline III, who spoke with People magazine.
The attorney also noted that Joseph, 31, is not with the couple’s four kids.
Joseph’s release conditions specifically prevent him from being alone with children, even his own, and from contacting the person who accused him of abuse during a family trip to Panama City Beach in 2020.
Besides the charges in Florida, Joseph and Kendra, both 27, are also accused of four counts each of endangering a child and unlawful imprisonment in their home state. They haven’t yet responded to these accusations in court.
On March 23th, Anna Duggar emailed Joseph while he was in jail in Arkansas, waiting to be transferred to another location. In the email, she shared information about what happened after both he and Kendra were arrested.
The 37-year-old woman told Joseph she’d spoken with Kendra after she was released from police custody. Kendra seemed strong during the conversation, but became upset when she mentioned not being able to see her four children for another month.

Anna, whose husband Josh Duggar is in prison for 12 years due to child pornography charges, expressed her sympathy to Joseph, according to records from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office obtained by TopMob News. She described Kendra as a wonderful person, highlighting the positive influence of faith in her life.
She also hinted at the legal issues Kendra was facing, expressing confidence that Kendra would ultimately be successful, though it might take a while.
Anna reminded everyone in her email not to discuss legal matters without a lawyer present. She explained that all communication – messages, calls, and video chats – is recorded and shared with the prosecution.

Anna wasn’t the only Duggar family member to reach out to Joseph while he was in jail. His father, Jim Bob Duggar, also sent a message, sharing that he and Michelle Duggar loved him very much.
In an email from March 25th, the Duggar family patriarch acknowledged past mistakes but offered reassurance, stating that God offers forgiveness to those who ask. He advised accepting the current situation and continuing to pray for mercy, while also preparing for potentially significant consequences that could last for several years.

Joseph Duggar‘s parents broke their silence in a statement on March 30.
A Duggar family spokesperson told Us Weekly that Jim Bob and Michelle are deeply saddened by everything that’s happening. They’re currently concentrating on supporting their family and helping Kendra and her children through this challenging period.
The spokesperson said the couple is praying for the person who was harmed and asks for privacy during this difficult time. They are grateful for the support and kind thoughts they’ve received.

On March 19th, we were surprised to hear about the arrest of Jill’s brother, Joseph Duggar. We found out through a friend who sent us a text about news reports claiming Joseph confessed to harming a young girl in 2020. We are deeply shocked and saddened by this news.
Derick and Jill, who publicly shared their experiences with the family in the 2023 book Counting the Cost, stated they firmly denounce abuse.

Josh is keenly aware of the damage that accusations can cause,” his lawyer told the Daily Mail on March 20. “He knows firsthand how false claims can ruin someone’s life and how a person can be unfairly targeted for media attention, leading to a distorted and exaggerated story.
The attorney stated that Josh, who is currently in prison for 12 years for possessing child pornography, doesn’t communicate often with his brother, Joseph, and wishes him well during this challenging period.

Jana and her husband shared on Instagram that they were devastated to learn about the situation involving her brother, Joseph. They said the news was completely unexpected and they hadn’t known anything about it before it was made public.
We are deeply saddened by the harm done to this child, and we condemn this terrible act. Our thoughts are with the victim, and we hope for a just outcome.

The couple, married this year, expressed their outrage at what they called the shocking behavior of Joseph, his brother.
Like so many others, my heart has been absolutely broken this week. Jason and Maddie shared a statement that really resonated with me, and it’s hard to put into words how shocked and saddened we all are. While the news about their brother is devastating, they made it clear this isn’t about them. What’s truly weighing on their hearts – and mine – is the innocent child whose life has been completely shattered by someone who should have protected them. It’s just awful to think about.
Maddie and I have always cared deeply about protecting those who are vulnerable, and that will never change,” their statement continued. “It’s awful to think someone would use their power to harass innocent people.
People requested prayers for the victim, whom they described as brave, and for Joseph’s family. They noted the heartbreaking impact on his children, who are now without the father and spiritual guide they deserved.

Joy-Anna shared on Instagram on March 26th that she was devastated by the recent news about her brother. She expressed her sympathy for the victim and said she’s been deeply upset and taking time to cope with the situation.
She added, “I will be taking some much-needed time with my family.”

On the March 25th episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jeremy shared that they’d been having a tough week, taking time to process, reflect, and pray about something before recording the show.
Jinger, who relocated to Los Angeles with Jeremy in 2019, shared that this week has been incredibly difficult. She said her heart had been broken in a way she never thought possible, and expressed deep sadness about the pain and impact this situation has had on many people, calling it unimaginable and deeply hurtful.
“It’s incredibly difficult,” she said. “In times like these, all you can do is pray for strength and guidance, because you can’t possibly prepare for news like this.”

In a statement to People magazine on March 20, Joseph’s cousin expressed feeling devastated, heartbroken, and furious. Their primary concern was for the young victim, who should have been safe, cared for, and surrounded by trustworthy people.
Amy explained she was “utterly shocked to hear about these allegations and Joseph’s arrest.”
I’ve always believed in honesty, taking responsibility for your actions, and keeping children safe, even if that meant disagreeing with my own family. Protecting children is so important that family relationships shouldn’t automatically guarantee trust or access.
