This April, STUDIOCANAL Presents offers a fantastic lineup of films and series, available exclusively on their streaming service. Enjoy a classic sci-fi from Luc Besson, the very first appearance of Hannibal Lecter on screen, a captivating drama starring Charlotte Rampling, a BAFTA-winning war film, a hilarious car comedy from Jacques Tati, and a captivating fantasy mini-series featuring John Hurt. Here’s the complete list of what StudioCanal is offering in April 2026.
Luc Besson’s 1997 science fiction masterpiece, The Fifth Element, stars Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, and Gary Oldman (who also appeared in Besson’s Leon). The film is known for its strong acting, incredible special effects, over-the-top costumes, and a fantastic score composed by frequent Besson collaborator, Eric Serra.
Michael Mann’s 1986 film, Manhunter, is based on Thomas Harris’s popular novel Red Dragon. It stars William Petersen (To Live and Die in L.A.) as a retired FBI profiler hunting a serial killer (played by the late Tom Noonan). He gets help from an unlikely source: Hannibal Lecktor (Brian Cox), a dangerous killer himself who is incarcerated.
I was completely captivated by Swimming Pool! It’s a really intense psychological thriller from 2003, directed by Francois Ozon. Charlotte Rampling plays a mystery writer who goes to a publisher’s house for some peace and quiet, but things get complicated when she meets his very independent daughter, played by Ludivine Sagnier. It’s a fascinating clash of personalities and a really gripping story.
In Jacques Tati’s brilliant 1971 comedy, Trafic, Monsieur Hulot embarks on a road trip from Paris to Amsterdam. True to form, his journey quickly becomes a hilariously chaotic adventure.
Orders to Kill (1958) is a thrilling World War II film set in Paris. American pilot Paul Massie (known for The Rebel) is tasked with assassinating a traitor. Directed by Anthony Asquith (The Winslow Boy), the film won several BAFTA Awards.
In this two-part fantasy adventure, Labyrinth (2012), archaeologists uncover incredible secrets from the past. The film stars John Hurt (known for The Elephant Man), Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice), and Jessica Brown Findlay (Playing Nice).
