As a huge Naruto fan, I’m so excited to see Masashi Kishimoto, the creator, back and involved in a big way! It’s been amazing watching the series get a revival over the last few years, starting with the 20th anniversary of the anime. We’ve had the continuation with the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, but it’s also incredible to see the original Naruto getting so much love again – and the new theme park in France is just the latest awesome surprise!
This year, the popular anime and manga series Naruto has come to life at Parc Spirou Provence in Southern France with the opening of “Konoha Land.” The theme park features attractions and rides based on Masashi Kishimoto’s original creation. To celebrate the launch, Kishimoto has released brand new artwork of Naruto and Kurama, characters fans haven’t seen together in a while. You can view the new art below.
Naruto Creator Shares Special Art Ahead of Anime’s Revival

Although the new theme park is exciting for fans, a special anime project is also on the way that’s generating a lot of buzz. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Naruto, the creators are releasing a four-episode special featuring the original Team 7 before the Naruto: Shippuden series. It was first planned for release in Fall 2023, but unfortunately, updates have been scarce since the project experienced a delay.
The recently announced revival of Naruto has experienced an unexpected delay in production, and fans haven’t received any information about when new episodes will be available. Details about the team working on the revival have also been scarce. However, it’s confirmed that the band FLOW will return to perform a refreshed version of their iconic opening theme, “GO!!!,” and a cover of ORANGE RANGE’s popular ending song, “Viva★Rock.” Hopefully, we’ll receive an official update about the series later this year.
What’s Next for Naruto?
There’s even more Naruto content on the way! In addition to existing projects, a live-action movie is now in development with Hollywood. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed films like Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Wonder Man, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is set to direct and co-write the Naruto movie with Tasha Huo. He’s also producing the film alongside Jeyun Munford, Hisako, Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Emmy Yu of Arad Productions, and Jeremy Latcham.
Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, has given his support to the director chosen for the live-action movie. However, there haven’t been any new updates since then. While some reports suggest filming might start as early as Fall 2026, details about the movie’s schedule, actors, and other aspects haven’t been officially announced yet.
