The Power Rangers are entering a new phase with an upcoming reboot, a new comic book series, and a movie currently in development. As part of this expansion, a brand new Ranger will be forming their own team, and we’re now getting our first glimpse of this powerful hero and the team they’ve assembled.
BOOM! Studios is expanding the Power Rangers universe with a new series called Power Rangers Unlimited. This series will draw on over three decades of Power Rangers history, and introduces a brand new Ranger: the Striking Tiger Unlimited Ranger. Penguin Random House recently shared a first look at the character’s design, which looks great! The design also hints at the team the new Ranger will lead, and it appears to be a powerful group of familiar faces.

The New Power Rangers Team Is Full Of Fan Favorites

The latest Power Rangers comic cover prominently features the new Striking Tiger Unlimited Ranger. It also hints at who will be joining him in an all-star team, and it’s an impressive group! If you look closely at the background, you can see parts of eight Rangers from previous seasons – a really powerful combination.
As a lifelong Power Rangers fan, I’m seriously excited about this guest list! They’ve got Aurico, who was the Red Ranger in Alien Rangers, and Tanya, the Yellow Ranger from Power Rangers Zeo. Plus, Damon Henderson as the Green Ranger from Lost Galaxy, Danny Delgado as the Black Ranger from Wild Force, Tori Hanson as the Wind Ranger from Ninja Storm, Xander Bly as the Green Ranger from Mystic Force, Gia Moran as the Yellow Ranger from Megaforce, and even Robert James, who played the Wolf Ranger in Jungle Fury! It’s a fantastic mix of Rangers from different seasons.
This new team of Rangers is incredibly strong, and what’s really cool is that it brings together characters from throughout the entire Power Rangers history. This approach worked really well in the Beyond the Grid storyline, and it’s a major strength here too. It’s great to see Rangers from series other than Mighty Morphin get some attention, especially characters like Gia, Xander, Tori, Danny, Damon, and Aurico, who haven’t had many opportunities to stand out in the comics. It’s also fantastic to have Robert and Tanya back, as they’ve made appearances in the comics before.
We’ll have to wait and see if the team’s members will change with each new story, or if this is the group we’ll be following for a while. For now, here’s the official description.
Prepare for an exciting new Power Rangers series that brings together heroes from every era! This series will unite all your favorite Rangers – from the TV show and comics – in unexpected and incredible ways!
