The Spring 2026 anime season is now underway, with new shows premiering this month. Disney+ and Hulu have announced they’ll be streaming some of the most popular ones. With a lot of new anime coming out over the next few weeks, different streaming services will be competing for viewers, and Hulu and Disney+ both have promising titles available.
Hulu has started adding anime scheduled for release in Spring 2026, with several new titles becoming available this April. Among the highlights are the premieres of Snowball Earth and a new anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi’s MAO. Fans can also look forward to the second season of Mission: Yozakura Family, which is coming later this month.
Hulu and Disney+ Confirm April 2026 Anime Releases

The spring 2026 anime season is starting, and some new shows are already available to watch. One of the biggest releases is MAO, based on the latest work from the well-known creator Rumiko Takahashi. Takahashi is famous for creating hugely popular anime like Inuyasha, Urusei Yatsura, and Ranma 1/2, and MAO looks to be just as successful. It’s definitely a show worth checking out.
Following the release of new anime, Snowball Earth stands out as being quite different from MAO. Created by the up-and-coming Studio KAI, the story starts with a robot pilot successfully defending against an invasion, only to return to an Earth completely frozen over years later. This sets off a brand new mystery and could become one of the most memorable new anime of the season.
What Else Is Coming to Hulu This April?

More new anime is coming this month! The final Dragon Ball movie with story contributions from the late Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, will start streaming on April 13th. Plus, the second season of Mission: Yozakura Family is also expected to return later this month, though Hulu hasn’t announced the exact date yet. There’s a lot to be excited about!
The anime Mission: Yozakura Family first appeared on Hulu a while ago, but its first season didn’t get much attention compared to other popular shows at the time. Now, with a second season, fans are hoping it will gain the recognition it deserves.
