Prime Video’s Gen V Season 3 Gets Disheartening Update

As a big fan of Gen V, the first live-action spin-off of The Boys, I’m really hoping Prime Video renews it for a third season! Right now, though, there haven’t been any official announcements about whether it’s happening, which is a little nerve-wracking. We’re all just waiting to hear some good news!

I was reading an interview with Jaz Sinclair, who plays Marie on Gen V, and she talked about whether we’ll get a Season 3. Sadly, she hasn’t heard anything official yet, but she’s still hoping they’ll continue Marie’s story! She also said she loves playing Marie because she’s so flawed – it makes the character way more interesting for her as an actress, which is awesome to hear.

No Movement Has Been Made on Gen V Season 3

I haven’t, and I have no idea what’s going to happen with my character,” Sinclair explained. “The writers always take me on a really interesting journey – they start me in one place and end up somewhere completely different. I’m hoping they keep doing that, no matter what direction they take the story in.

She explained that in the second season, her character, Marie, made some poor decisions and was led astray by others, which she found compelling. She prefers playing flawed characters, finding perfection unrealistic and uninteresting. She actively seeks roles where characters make mistakes, as that reflects real life, and hopes the writers continue to provide her with such complex and engaging material.

Whether or not Gen V will get a third season is still uncertain, but fans can still expect to see Shelley Conn as Marie. She’ll be joining other Gen V cast members in the final season of The Boys. They were brought on by A-Train in the season two finale to help fight Homelander. With The Boys Season 5 promising a lot of deaths, it’s likely that some, or even all, of the Gen V characters won’t make it out alive.

Gen V Season 3: No News Is Good News

The future of Gen V remains uncertain, but the lack of official news isn’t necessarily a bad sign. While a third season hasn’t been confirmed, it hasn’t been canceled either. It’s possible the creators are waiting until The Boys finishes its final season to decide on the direction of the franchise. Regardless, more stories are planned, as the Vought Rising prequel series with Jensen Ackles is still in development.

The will debut on Apr. 8, 2026, on Prime Video, where both seasons of Gen V are currently streaming.
