Terry Crews‘ wife Rebecca King-Crews is opening up about her private health battle.
The 60-year-old recently revealed she’s been living with Parkinson’s disease for a decade. She received a formal diagnosis in 2015, after experiencing symptoms for three years. She’s sharing her story now, shortly after receiving a new treatment to help manage the condition.
Speaking with Craig Melvin on Today on April 6th, she shared that she was feeling well. She excitedly mentioned being able to write her name and the date, and that she could write with her right hand for the first time in about three years.
Rebecca mentioned she’s making progress with her recovery, noting she can now perform a ballet move called a ‘port de bras’ while balancing on her right leg. She’s been told the recovery process takes around three months, and she’s experiencing more improvement as time goes on.
The fashion designer, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and having undergone a double mastectomy, will have another surgery in September to deal with lingering symptoms, including numbness and tremors on her left side.
To be honest, I’m still seeing how things progress with my health,” Rebecca explained. “The treatment aims to reduce my symptoms, and it’s a bit strange because I’m improving on one side of my body but not the other. This makes me more conscious of how much better the treated side already feels, and I’m hopeful the treatment will have the same effect on my left side.
She explained not only what it was like to undergo the new procedure, but also revealed the two main reasons she finally felt comfortable sharing her diagnosis with the world after keeping it secret for more than ten years.

Terry is finding support from his wife, with whom he has five children: Naomi, 36, Azriél, 35, Tera, 27, Winnie, 23, and Isaiah, 20. She’s been feeling a bit better since the procedure, and he’s incredibly impressed by her strength and resilience.
He believes this marks a turning point towards a cure, saying it’s been incredibly difficult watching her struggle for the past decade. Seeing her deal with tremors, insomnia, and loss of balance was heartbreaking, and witnessing her write her name again after three years left him deeply moved and speechless.
Rebecca shared that she doesn’t want people to hear her story simply to learn about her experiences or feel sympathy. She’s convinced that this new medical procedure, and others similar to it, represent a major advancement in healthcare. What’s remarkable is that doctors were able to access her brain without traditional, invasive surgery.
She continued, saying she was hopeful about the prospect. She also wanted to find a way to help others access it, as the surgery is costly and not yet covered by insurance. Her hope is that it will offer people with Parkinson’s some encouragement, and that ultimately, a cure will be discovered.
Terry is finding support from his wife, with whom he has five children: Naomi, 36, Azriél, 35, Tera, 27, Winnie, 23, and Isaiah, 20. He’s relieved that her symptoms have improved since the procedure and continues to admire her strength.
He believes this marks a turning point towards a cure, explaining that watching his loved one struggle for the past decade has been incredibly difficult. Witnessing the effects of the illness – the shaking, sleeplessness, and loss of balance – was heartbreaking. Seeing her write her name for the first time in three years was deeply moving, and he found it hard to express the emotion of that moment.

Melissa Fumero described her mother as a constant source of strength, calling her a ‘superhero.’ Her mother kept her health struggles private because she didn’t want anyone’s sympathy. However, after receiving treatment, she decided to share her story, hoping to help others benefit from the same technology that helped her.
I’ve always admired Rebecca, and I know a big part of her strength comes from her husband – they’ve been married for over 36 years! She’s told me she lives by his simple but powerful advice: ‘Just keep walking.’ It’s something I’ve really taken to heart myself, and it’s amazing how much it helps when things get tough.
She explained that her philosophy was simply to persevere – to keep moving forward no matter what. She was determined to keep going, refusing to give up just because of a diagnosis.
And, with a fist bump, Terry agreed, “This is how we do it.”

Okay, so last week was insane! Brian posted this video on Instagram, and he said he started getting stomach pain. Turns out, he had to go to the ER and it was his appendix! In a 2025 interview on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast, Devine described the past year as a “nightmare.” He explained that he’s been experiencing spasms throughout his body and that doctors initially believed his condition was life-threatening.
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

Let me tell you, I recently had a really scary health experience. I ended up in the hospital because of terrible back pain – it got so bad on a road trip that I literally had to crawl on my hands and knees to get help. It was a frightening moment, but thankfully I’m on the mend!
He described a persistent tingling sensation, saying, ‘Even now, bringing my knees to my chest, it still feels tingly, which is strange.’ He explained that just a few weeks prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a basic squat or stand on one leg without falling. Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer was surprised to see doctors commenting on her appearance online, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her face that concerned them. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section, which could have caused the condition. She wouldn’t have connected the symptoms without the online comments. Fortunately, doctors determined her case of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own, and she’s now relieved to be healthy. She shared this positive news in a February 2024 newsletter, calling it the ‘greatest news imaginable.’

During a game in December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin noticed something was wrong. She couldn’t speak, and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although her speech and facial movement eventually returned, Hailey went to the hospital for tests. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further examination at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary and random, but expressing gratitude that he was going to be okay.

In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could take aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, became concerned and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed them all.

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.

After that, she remembers only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

I’m such a huge fan of Emilia Clarke, and honestly, learning about everything she went through just breaks my heart. It’s terrifying to think that while she was filming those incredible battle scenes in Game of Thrones, she was actually fighting a battle for her life. She wrote about it in The New Yorker, and it’s just… harrowing. She was at the gym and suddenly got this awful headache, then she just collapsed and was violently sick. She knew something was seriously wrong – she said she knew her brain was damaged.
Turns out she’d had a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a type of stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. Immediate surgery, and she said the pain was unbearable. But even after that, while recovering, she started having trouble with her speech, just muttering nonsense. Thankfully, that passed after a week, and she was able to leave the hospital after a month.
But then, a scan in 2013 showed another growth, and it had doubled in size! She needed another surgery, but the first one failed. She woke up screaming, and the doctors told her she might not survive if they didn’t operate again. This time, they had to go in through her skull! It’s just… unbelievable. But thankfully, she says she’s now at 100 percent, and I’m just so incredibly happy to hear it. She’s such a strong person.

The physical discomfort also triggered mental health challenges, including fear of food and issues with body image and identity. Ultimately, Woodley was able to resolve her health problems and is now feeling very healthy and happy.
