A social media account called @RaidersSociety is reporting that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is expected to release in February 2027. While the information comes from an anonymous source and should be treated with caution, @RaidersSociety has previously shared reliable information about the Tomb Raider franchise, making this rumor potentially credible.
While the delay isn’t expected to be significant, it does indicate a change in Amazon’s plans for the next Tomb Raider game, currently scheduled for 2026. If the new release date for Legacy of Atlantis is indeed early next year, we can likely expect an official announcement soon.
This Delay Could Impact the Next Tomb Raider Game
A delay for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis could affect Amazon’s plans for future Tomb Raider games. Amazon also announced Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a brand new adventure for Lara Croft, which is currently planned for 2027. If Legacy of Atlantis were to be delayed until 2027 as well, Amazon might choose to postpone Catalyst too. Most game companies generally avoid releasing two games from the same series in the same year, so a delay for Catalyst isn’t out of the question.
Just to reiterate, all of this is currently unconfirmed information, so it’s best to be cautious until Amazon officially announces it. Whenever Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis comes out, players will be able to enjoy it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
