Modern games can take up a lot of storage, so it’s helpful to know how much space new PS5 games will require before you install them.
Some games are incredibly large, with some exceeding 100 GB in size. This can be a problem since the PlayStation 5 only has around 825 GB of storage built in. While you can upgrade to a bigger SSD, it’s still a significant amount of space to use up.
Luckily, not all big games are the same, and Capcom’s Pragmata is a great illustration of that.
According to PlayStation Game Size on X, the new sci-fi action game will require around 33.5 GB of storage space, which is a reasonable file size.
Pragmata is much smaller than Resident Evil Requiem – it takes up less than half the storage space. Resident Evil Requiem requires over 74 GB of space.
I’ve been wondering why the new shooter isn’t as big of a download as some other games, and it seems like Capcom did a really good job optimizing it! It might also just be that the game isn’t quite as massive as Requiem was, which makes sense. Either way, I’m happy it won’t take up too much space on my PS5!
No matter what, it won’t take up much space on your SSD, which is good news.
PlayStation Game Size also reported that pre-loading the game will be available from April 15th, just a few days before it officially releases.
Pragmata is a sci-fi action game set on a moon base taken over by a dangerous artificial intelligence. You play as someone investigating the disaster, and you’ll get help from Diana, a small android who can disable enemy robots, making them easier to destroy.
After a long wait, the game is finally launching on PS5 next week! Let us know if you’re excited in the comments!
