Just before she was scheduled to take the stage in Canada for her Mayhem Ball Tour, the singer of “Abracadabra” had to cancel her concert due to a respiratory infection.
Lady Gaga announced on Instagram on April 6th that she unfortunately has to cancel tonight’s show. She’s been battling a respiratory infection for the last few days and, despite trying to rest and get better, her condition has worsened.
Despite wanting to perform for the third night in Montreal, Lady Gaga and her doctor agreed she wasn’t well enough to continue with the show.
The performer, age 40, announced they couldn’t perform today on their doctor’s advice, explaining they wouldn’t be able to deliver the show their audience deserves given their current condition.
She continued, saying she understood how upsetting this was and that she felt terrible about disappointing everyone. She sincerely apologized to those who had planned to attend and offer their support.
Finally, Lady Gaga, whose full name is Stefani Germanotta, thanked the Montreal crowd who attended her concerts on April 2nd and 3rd, and then offered a final apology to her fans.
She finished by saying that performing in Montreal on Thursday and Friday was a truly special and moving experience. She also expressed her sincere apologies and deep disappointment to those who were planning to attend tonight’s show.

At this time, it is unclear if the canceled show will be postponed to a later date.
The popular singer, known for her song “Just Dance”, has been touring since July 2025. Her next performances are scheduled for April 9th and 10th in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and the tour will finish with shows in New York City. It’s been a long run, with a total of 86 performances.
Besides her tour, Lady Gaga has had a full schedule recently. In February, she won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her record Mayhem, and she’s currently planning her wedding to Michael Polansky.

After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was surprised when doctors began commenting on her appearance online, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out the dramatic change in her face and urged her to get it checked. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section, which could have caused the condition. She wouldn’t have known about it without the online commentary. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to have a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own and that she’s healthy, calling it the “greatest news imaginable.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although her symptoms briefly subsided, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), often called a ‘mini-stroke.’ Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, known as a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be completely fine and was grateful he was on the mend.

After surgery, twenty days later, on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
Jamie expressed his gratitude for the support he received, saying, “I appreciate every prayer, because I needed every prayer.”

It was terrifying. She explained that her body was actually failing – her organs were literally shutting down. Apparently, she had something called rhabdomyolysis, and she described it as her body’s way of completely giving up. I was shocked to hear how serious it was; it sounded like a complete system failure.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and becoming violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, finding it difficult to speak coherently.
Though she left the hospital after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

She described a confusing process of receiving multiple diagnoses from different doctors.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has a background in herbalism, sought a combination of traditional medical care and alternative healing approaches. This search for well-being lasted for a decade.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.
Ultimately, Woodley’s health improved, and she is now very healthy and happy to say her issues have resolved themselves.
