Offset Shot Outside of Casino in Florida

Offset is recovering after a harrowing injury.

I’m getting reports that the Migos rapper is doing okay after being shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida on April 6th. His representative confirmed to TMZ that he’s currently in the hospital and receiving medical care. Thankfully, it sounds like he’s going to be alright.

The spokesperson stated that Offset, who has seven children – including 7-year-old Kulture, 4-year-old Wave, and 19-month-old Blossom with his ex-wife, Cardi B, as well as children from previous relationships – is currently stable and under close observation.

According to a Seminole County Police spokesperson, the shooting happened near the valet parking area around 7 p.m. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Authorities said two arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.

Police responded to the scene right away and quickly brought the situation under control. The investigation is still underway, but the area is secure and there’s no danger to the public. Everything is continuing as usual.

This shooting happened three years after Takeoff, a member of Offset’s group Migos, was killed in a shooting. In 2022, the 28-year-old was fatally shot outside a Houston club after a party with his fellow Migos member and uncle, Quavo.

Since then, Offset (whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus) has talked about how hard it’s been to share his sadness about what happened.

I’m finding it really difficult to discuss this right now; I’ve never really opened up about it before,” he explained to Variety in 2023. “It’s hard to talk about the situation with Take, and all of this is painful. That’s why I usually avoid it – it just puts me in a bad headspace, and I don’t want to feel that way.

The man, 34 years old, explained that he keeps certain things to himself. He’s dealing with a loss – someone who is gone – and feels like it isn’t real. He doesn’t talk about it with anyone, and it’s something he struggles with daily.
