Early in the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again, a surprising hero was revealed. The show introduces several new heroes this season—some we haven’t even seen yet—but one character’s true identity was uncovered within the first few episodes.
The first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 included several comedic videos showing someone secretly pretending to be New York City Mayor Wilson Fisk. This person wore a silly mask that looked a little like Fisk. It’s later revealed that this person is BB Urich, played by Genneya Walton.

I’ve been watching these videos, and they’re pretty clever. Someone’s using a voice changer to sound just like Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin – it’s a bit of a playful jab, but they’re using that persona to highlight all the shady stuff Fisk was up to. The first video specifically dives into that whole port deal he made after the Northern Star ship went down in the East River – it really lays out how crooked it was.

Sometimes, after ads showed New York City as a safe place, videos would surface revealing the reality of Wilson Fisk’s actions and his Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF). One video specifically covered the murder of journalist Ben Urich, who was killed while investigating Fisk – a storyline from Season 1 of the Netflix series Daredevil that included a visit to Fisk’s mother.

In the second episode, when a video unexpectedly stops playing, the person pretending to be Kingpin is revealed to be Walton’s BB Urich, who removes their mask and looks directly at the camera.

BB Urich was introduced in Season 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe show Born Again, where it was revealed she’s the niece of Ben Urich. Like her uncle, she’s a journalist, and hosts the BB Report, a show where she interviews everyday people about current events in the city.

She makes videos to reveal the crimes committed by Fisk while he’s Mayor of New York. This is also her way of getting revenge, because she knows he was behind her uncle’s death.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is a new Marvel live-action series arriving on Disney+ in 2026. Starring Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, the show follows Daredevil as he assembles a team to challenge Fisk, who has imposed martial law on New York City. New episodes will be available on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Pacific Time/9 p.m. Eastern Time.
BB Urich’s Impact on Daredevil: Born Again

Though BB Urich isn’t a central figure in Daredevil: Born Again, she continues to uncover and reveal the truth about New York City. Working with Karen Page, who has been operating undercover, Urich remains dedicated to her investigations, even after witnessing the hardships Karen faced with her uncle before his passing.
In the upcoming season, BB will be heavily involved in investigating Fisk, using her connection with Daniel Blake. The story is expected to move quickly, giving BB ample chances to demonstrate her skills as she uncovers more about Fisk’s operations and the truth behind them.
Future episodes will likely explore how much trouble she finds herself in, as her involvement with Karen and potentially Daredevil will place her directly in the middle of the city’s escalating political and criminal conflicts.
There are still many storylines to explore, like bringing back Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, and it’s clear that BB will be key in stopping Fisk.
