Drop Duchy: Complete Edition for PS5, Switch launches April 21

The complete edition of the roguelite strategy game Drop Duchy is coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on April 21st, according to publisher The Arcade Crew and developer Saw Mill Studio.

I first got my hands on Drop Duchy when it came out on Steam and the Epic Games Store back in May 2025. Then, in January 2026, they released Drop Duchy: Complete Edition on Xbox Series and the Microsoft Store. The best part? It’s also available on Game Pass, so I can play it there too!

A Chip Off the Old Block

Each time you start a new game of Drop Duchy, you’ll get a different and interesting map. You place tiles like in other block-dropping games, but the key is to carefully align them. This lets you trigger special abilities, earn more resources, and build up your forces.

Choosing the best places to build near forests, rivers, or plains is key to getting the most out of your resources and creating a thriving kingdom.

Okay, so the game lets you get extra rewards for matching things in lines, but honestly, what I’m really focused on is slowly collecting as many resources as possible. You need those to build up your army, piece by piece, so you can defend your kingdom from whatever attacks are coming. It’s all about building a strong defense!

Block and Load

Choose your strategy, build a larger army than your opponents, and take back the land they’ve occupied. Just remember to protect your castle – too much damage could mean losing the war.

Winning battles lets you guide your troops along different routes, making important choices as you advance towards the enemy’s stronghold.

The game lets you quickly retry with a different approach if your attack fails, because of its well-designed cycle of action and feedback.

Deckbuilding Blocks

Become more powerful through a deep card-building system. Construct and improve buildings using over 110 unique cards, each providing strong upgrades and enhancements. Discover new options with building and technology cards, which unlock bonus structures to increase troop numbers and offer other advantages. Tailor your card selection to fit your playstyle and maximize the growth of your kingdom.

During your adventure, visit markets and guilds to collect useful items. Then, carefully use those items to improve your abilities, plan your moves, and decide where to go next.

Shape Your Destiny

In Drop Duchy, you’ll steadily improve your game through a deep progression system with more than 100 different missions to complete. As you rank up, you’ll earn rewards like more resources, powerful new cards, and extra health.

The game’s missions are closely connected to the three factions you can play as – The Duchy, The Republic, and The Order. Each faction has its own unique quests that reward you with special items and bonuses. Finishing these quests during your playthroughs helps you customize your approach, increases your odds of winning, and ensures that each game contributes to your overall progress and ultimate victory.
