Okay, so I’ve been seeing some leaks online, and apparently the dialogue system in GTA 6 is going to be way more advanced than what we got in GTA 5. Like, a huge step up. I’m really hoping it means more realistic and engaging conversations with NPCs – that would be awesome!
It’s been 13 years since the last Grand Theft Auto game, and even though the first trailer for GTA 6 came out over two years ago, we still have several months to wait before it’s released.
This game is arguably the most awaited release ever, and its lengthy development and massive budget have created huge expectations for an unprecedented level of detail and scope.
People usually expect improvements in gameplay and graphics to excite them about a game, but it seems the way the game’s characters talk is also becoming a big draw.
A source claiming to have inside information posted on Reddit, explaining that the game’s conversations with characters are surprisingly complex. They said people will be shocked by how detailed and expansive the NPC dialogue system is.
According to the leaker, NPCs in the new game won’t just use random lines like they did in GTA 5. Instead, they’ll react to what’s happening around them using a detailed system where specific things they say are linked to specific situations.

According to the leak, NPCs won’t just react to the player – they’ll also chat amongst themselves, discuss things like the weather and current events, and use a wide variety of voice lines before repeating any, making the world feel more alive and less repetitive.
Players who enjoyed Red Dead Redemption 2 will likely find this familiar, as the characters in that game also respond to your actions and comments in a similar way.
If the rumors are true about the massive size of the GTA 6 map and the huge number of characters living in it, that would be an incredible technical accomplishment.
As with any rumor, it’s best to be cautious about this news. We won’t know for sure if it’s accurate until we can try the game ourselves.
