Mario Galaxy Movie Officially Releases Star Fox Scenes Online (Watch)

The recent Super Mario Galaxy Movie gave fans a first look at several beloved Nintendo characters. The sequel introduced exciting new faces like Rosalina, voiced by Brie Larson, Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie), and Fox McCloud, played by Glen Powell. Fox McCloud’s appearance was a particularly pleasant surprise for longtime fans, and he played a significant role, becoming a key ally to Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Toad, and Princess Peach in their fight.

After a strong start in theaters, the official social media for The Super Mario Bros. Movie shared a new clip featuring Fox McCloud, a character from the film.

The short video starts with Princess Peach and Toad traveling to the Gateway Galaxy to find Rosalina, who Bowser Jr. had kidnapped to help with his scheming. They needed a spaceship to travel among the stars.

They met Fox McCloud, and he offered his help in exchange for money. However, he soon proved to be a valuable teammate, using his expert flying skills to rescue them during dangerous air battles with Bowser Jr.’s army.

Fox McCloud’s introduction is memorable because he quickly explained his entire history – telling Princess Peach and Toad he leads the Star Fox Team – before unexpectedly falling through a dimensional rift and ending up in the Mario universe.

Why Fox McCloud Deserves A Nintendo Big-Screen Spinoff

Fox McCloud’s appearance in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was so impressive that it could lead Nintendo to create a spin-off game or movie starring the character.

The fact that McCloud has a significant supporting role, and not just a quick appearance, suggests he’s likely to play a more important part in Nintendo’s future movies.

Glen Powell’s energetic and charming performance as Fox McCloud, combined with his popularity, has created a lot of excitement for the character’s future – and a possible Star Fox movie is now a real possibility.

There are definite signs of what’s to come: Fox’s team will be filled with interesting characters, the game will feature exciting aerial combat with Arwings, and the story will delve into the rich history of the Lylat System.

The ending of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hints that Fox McCloud’s adventures will continue, and it strongly suggests we’ll eventually see him team up with Mario and Luigi. It’s clear that if Fox needs help in his corner of the galaxy, he knows Mario will be there for him, just as Mario can count on Fox when he needs a hand.
