Lance McDonald, a popular figure among fans of the Souls games, has found a previously unknown cutscene. It depicts the demigod Miquella personally planting the Haligtree.
FromSoftware games are known for having unclear stories, but that hasn’t stopped people from building entire careers trying to figure them out. While I’m not personally fascinated by these lore deep-dives, the discovery of this cut content will likely inspire a new round of detailed analyses and theories.
Interestingly, the cutscene includes dialogue that wasn’t actually used. Since there are no instructions on the correct sequence, the creator, McDonald, arranged the lines in the order they appear in the files.
