Netflix is already working on Season 3 of its live-action One Piece series! The show has been a hit for the streaming service, with Season 2 releasing earlier this spring. Production on the new season started well before Season 2 came out, so fans won’t have to wait long to see what happens next.
Netflix announced that Season 3 of One Piece will arrive in 2027. The new season will cover the Alabasta saga from the original manga by Eiichiro Oda. Following the introduction of Princess Vivi in Season 2 and the events of the finale, Netflix shared a preview of the upcoming storyline, hinting at new challenges for the Straw Hat crew in a desert setting.
Netflix’s One Piece Season 3 Hypes Alabasta Arc for Live-Action Series
The third season of the One Piece live-action series, officially titled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, hints at an upcoming war for Luffy and his crew. According to Netflix, the new season will take place in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, the home of Princess Vivi, where a rebellion is brewing. This uprising is secretly being orchestrated by Sir Crocodile, a powerful and dangerous member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and his criminal organization, Baroque Works, who plan to take control of the kingdom.
The new season promises intense challenges for the Straw Hats, including a potential civil war and a dangerous warlord. They’ll be fighting to save Vivi’s kingdom from destruction, and viewers can expect exciting new villains and locations. This season will largely focus on the Alabasta storyline, which is a significant arc from the original manga series.
What’s New for Netflix’s One Piece Season 3?

I’m really excited about the confirmation that the next installment of the live-action One Piece series will cover the Alabasta saga! It definitely adds another layer of anticipation. Plus, they’ve already announced some great new cast members – Xolo Maridueña will be playing Portgas D. Ace, along with Cole Escola as Bon Clay, Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1, and Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger. It sounds like we’ll also see some of the Season 2 actors get more prominent roles in Season 3, which is fantastic.
I’m really excited about the upcoming events – we’re going to see a lot more of the new cast members! Mikaela Hoover is playing Tony Tony Chopper, Charithra Chandran is Princess Vivi, Sendhil Ramamurthy will be Nefartari Cobra, Lera Abova is Nico Robin, and Joe Manganiello is taking on the role of Sir Crocodile. While we don’t know for sure if there will be a fourth season of the live-action series, this feels like it’s shaping up to be a huge, satisfying conclusion regardless.
