Bullseye Changes The MCU Forever – Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Episode 4 Ending Explained

Be warned, this article reveals major spoilers for episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again season 2! Wilson Fisk’s nemesis, Bullseye, steals the spotlight in the latest episode with an action that will likely have significant repercussions for the rest of the season and possibly the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following Daredevil’s liberation of the prisoners in Red Hook, Benjamin Poindexter, a.k.a. Bullseye, has decided to take direct action against Fisk.

The episode opens with an impressive fight between Bullseye and the AVTF in a diner. Matt Murdock discovers Bullseye intends to target Vanessa, and Mayor Fisk attempts to keep her safe by sending her away. But Vanessa refuses to leave, and ends up in danger, suffering a serious injury at Bullseye’s hand, which devastates Wilson Fisk.

Bullseye’s Gets Revenge On The Fisk’s At The Big Fight

Even though Matt found the clues Poindexter left at the diner and tracked him down to his hideout – discovering he was the one who killed Foggy – he couldn’t talk Poindexter out of attacking the Fisk organization. Poindexter showed up at the Mayor’s public boxing match, prepared for a confrontation, and during a fight where he defeated several AVTF agents, he himself was shot.

Both Fisk and Daredevil attempted to prevent Bullseye from causing serious harm, but his incredible throwing accuracy proved effective. A large piece of glass, ironically from a cheap souvenir featuring Wilson Fisk’s face against the New York City skyline, pierced Vanessa’s neck.

Currently, Vanessa’s condition is critical, but she hasn’t been confirmed dead. While Fisk will ensure she receives the best possible medical care, she may not survive. If she doesn’t, Fisk could react with extreme violence, posing a serious threat to New York City and beyond.

Daredevil’s Army Is Still Taking Shape

Daredevil is still working to team up with other heroes and even former enemies to fight against Wilson Fisk’s oppressive plans. After liberating the prisoners at Red Hook, he’s starting to build a solid base of support. Even though Jacques Duquesne, also known as the Swordsman, plans to leave, he’s generously offered Daredevil access to his wealth – money that Fisk desperately wanted but never managed to get his hands on.

Angela del Toro is also pursuing her own goals, and Karen and Matt have gained some new allies as they try to improve things in New York. However, Krysten Ritter hasn’t returned as Jessica Jones yet, and without her, Matt’s team seems a bit underprepared for the challenge of facing the entire AVTF.

The Northern Star Case Against Mayor Wilson Fisk Has A New Silver Bullet… Briefly

Although Daredevil is having trouble gathering allies to fight Fisk and his crew, Matt Murdock’s legal strategy against the Kingpin just received a significant boost. Christoph, a crew member from the Northern Star, has come forward with information, and Karen quickly arranges for Kirsten McDuffie to take his statement.

The team successfully obtained a confession that could be enough to remove Fisk from office, but they must keep the person who confessed safe until it can be used in court. However, Buck anticipated their move, ambushing the sheriff’s transport, killing the officers, and capturing the last remaining witness to the Northern Star incident.

Fisk and his crew definitely made a clever play, but with a recording now existing, it might not matter anymore.

Vanessa’s Secret Meeting With The Governor Reveals Her True Alignment

Fisk tried to shield his wife, Vanessa, from the danger posed by Bullseye and the rising crime in New York City. However, Vanessa surprised him by secretly meeting with the governor. During the meeting, she suggested she could manage things perfectly well without her husband, and the governor assured her he fully supported both her and Fisk.

It’s clear Vanessa is a powerful influence, and she seems to be controlling Wilson. Since reconnecting with her at the end of last season, Wilson has become much more cautious. This likely explains how he’s been able to land big deals with people like Mr. Charles, but it also looks like Fisk’s plans are starting to fall apart, as shown in the latest episode.

Mayor Fisk Is Already Starting To Lose Control, And If Vanessa Dies, Nothing Will Stop Him

When Mayor Fisk and Buck go to Red Hook to check on the damage from Daredevil’s actions, they encounter Mr. Charles, who attempts to manipulate Fisk like he has before. The situation escalates, and Mr. Charles sends his bodyguards to intimidate them, but Buck easily defeats them. It becomes obvious that Fisk has broken their agreement and is now acting solely for his own gain.

So, it turns out Mr. Charles was right – that Northern Star ship was smuggling guns, selling to whoever had the most money. But honestly, Fisk was already onto bigger things by then. The really crazy part? We see him in a boxing match for charity, and he just loses it. He’s absolutely brutalizing the other guy until Vanessa shows up at ringside, and you can see it totally throws him off. It’s a really unsettling moment, seeing that raw rage and then that flicker of… something else when he sees her.

Even though Fisk was disoriented for a moment, he quickly regained control and just relentlessly beat down his opponent – it was honestly frightening to watch, even for someone like me who’s seen a lot of action. But then Bullseye showed up, and everything changed. He finally got his revenge on Vanessa, and despite how incredibly fast Fisk is, he couldn’t save her. It was a truly shocking moment.

We’ve already seen Wilson Fisk become increasingly ruthless, but Vanessa’s current situation will likely push him to even greater extremes in the remaining episodes. Fisk is spiraling out of control, and without Vanessa – who used to be able to soothe his rage and guide his actions – he has nothing to keep him grounded, especially now that Bullseye has silenced her.

Episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 was the most thrilling and suspenseful episode yet, and its consequences could be significant, potentially impacting events beyond the show and even the city of New York.
