Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini are sharing their side of the story.
After photos appeared online showing the New England Patriots’ head coach and an NFL reporter from The Athletic together at a hotel in Sedona, Arizona, both individuals publicly denied rumors of a romantic relationship.
I was so excited to see the photos Page Six got! It looks like Mike Vrabel and Erin Andrews had an amazing time in Sedona. They were photographed hugging and even seemed to be dancing together on the hotel roof – their fingers were linked, which was really sweet. There were also pictures of them relaxing by the pool and enjoying the hot tub together. They looked so comfortable and happy!
In a statement to Page Six on April 7th, Vrabel – who recently celebrated his 26th wedding anniversary with his wife, Jen Vrabel – dismissed any misinterpretations of the photos, calling the interaction entirely harmless and stating he wouldn’t be commenting further.
As a fan, I found it interesting when Erin Andrews mentioned that the photos circulating didn’t show everyone who was on vacation with her and Kevin Goldschmidt, who’s a leader at Shake Shack, and the NFL coach. It just seemed like a little detail people were curious about.
She explained that the pictures didn’t accurately show the six people who were socializing earlier in the day. She added that, like many NFL reporters, they often talk to sources in places other than stadiums or official events.
Steven Ginsberg, the executive editor at The Athletic, also defended Russini. He told Page Six that the photos circulating were misleading and didn’t show the full story, explaining they were simply public interactions witnessed by many. He affirmed that Dianna is a top-notch NFL journalist and a valued member of The Athletic’s team.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Vrabel and Russini for comment and has not heard back.
