The new game, Pokemon Champions, is now available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, marking the first platform specifically designed for Pokemon battles. A mobile version is coming later this year. Players who start battling within the first month will receive a free Dragonite and other bonuses. Plus, The Pokemon Company is offering another free gift for a limited time through the game’s Mystery Gift feature.
Pokemon Champions is a game you can start playing for free, with optional in-game purchases available. This makes free gifts especially helpful for players who prefer not to spend money. However, players who want to speed up their progress or get more content can buy a starter pack or battle pass to earn items. The details for the first free gift in Pokemon Champions have just been announced by Serebii, and here’s what players can look forward to.
Pokemon Champions Players Get a Free Pokemon Though Mystery Gift

In Pokemon Champions, you can use special codes to get free rewards like Pokemon through a feature called Mystery Gift. To start, a code – CHAMP10N – will be available on the game’s launch day, giving you a free Machamp. The Pokemon Company plans to release more of these codes periodically throughout the game’s lifespan, but each code will only be active for a limited time. Here’s a guide on how to redeem these Mystery Gift codes and claim your rewards in Pokemon Champions.
How to Redeem Mystery Gift Codes in Pokemon Champions
- From the main screen, select Submenu.
- Scroll down and select Mystery Gifts.
- Connect to the Internet.
- Input the Code CHAMPION.
- Press Confirm.
- Collect your reward in the Mailbox.
You can get a free Machamp in Pokemon Champions as a Mystery Gift until August 31st. After that date, the offer ends. Once you use the code, the Machamp will be sent to your in-game mailbox.
Although players receive free rewards through Mystery Gifts, they can also purchase in-game bonuses. The Pokemon Champions Starter Pack costs $6.99 and includes extra space for Pokemon (50 more storage slots), 30 Teammate Tickets, and 50 Training Tickets. A Premium Battle Pass is available for $9.99. Players can also subscribe to a Pokemon Champions Membership for either $4.99 a month or $49.99 for a year.
The Pokemon Company has already given away a couple of free Pokemon, making it simpler for players who don’t spend money to build a strong team. Players can also transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Home or find them in Pokemon Champions, though this requires VP, which you earn by completing missions and winning battles. Pokemon Champions is quickly becoming the go-to place for battling in the Pokemon world, and it’s had a very successful launch.
