Now, a new photo confirms the upcoming thirteenth season will be a crossover, bringing back another beloved character and setting – and it’s happening sooner than expected!

Ryan Murphy Productions shared a new photo on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing Sarah Paulson will return as Cordelia Goode. The post confirmed that the next season will also bring back the popular Robichaux Academy. Unlike previous seasons, the series is now expected to premiere in September instead of October.

And get this – they’ve completely rebuilt the Robichaux Academy set! As a huge fan of ‘American Horror Story,’ this is everything I could have hoped for and more.

The news that Sarah Paulson will reprise her role as Cordelia in the next season of American Horror Story, along with Jessica Lange’s return – looking strikingly similar to her Murder House character, Constance Langdon – hints at big things to come. Fans will remember that Season 8, Apocalypse, brought together characters from Murder House, Coven, and Hotel, with the witches of Coven fighting to stop the Antichrist and save the world. They succeeded by sending Billie Lourde’s character, Mallory, back in time to eliminate a young Michael Langdon.
