Matthew Perry will be Selma Blair’s friend forever.

She said she keeps his memory alive by holding onto special things, and she actually still has one of his shirts hanging in her closet! It’s a beautiful way to remember him, and it just shows how much he meant to those who knew him.

Selma recently shared with TopMob News’ Erin Lim Rhodes that she cherishes personal items, especially gifts from loved ones. She specifically mentioned a shirt given to her by her and her ex-husband Jason Bleick’s son, Arthur, who is fourteen years old.

The most meaningful item I own is a simple T-shirt that reads, ‘I love Arthur.’ My 53-year-old self cherishes it because Arthur made it for me when he was a child.

Selma and Matthew have known each other for a long time. The actress, known for her role in The Sweetest Thing, refers to him as her “oldest friend.”

Shortly after Matthew Perry’s passing in 2023, Selma Blair shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She wrote that she loved him deeply, every single day, and that their love was mutual. She expressed being utterly heartbroken, and fondly wished him sweet dreams, calling him ‘Matty’.

Selma revealed that she and the person had briefly been romantically involved, but maintained a close friendship for three decades, as she told Entertainment Tonight in November 2023.

Kathleen Turner, who played Chandler Bing’s mother on Friends, shared with People magazine that Matthew Perry was a kind and funny person who genuinely liked being around others, something she particularly valued in a fellow actor.
