I’m really excited about the Spring 2026 anime season – it looks incredible! There are a lot of highly-regarded shows coming out, and we’re finally getting Season 4 of Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. It’s a huge deal because Re:Zero is incredibly popular on Crunchyroll and is considered one of the best ‘isekai‘ anime ever made. The series started as a light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki with illustrations by Shinichiro Ootsuka back in 2016. The anime adaptation, created by White Fox, came out two years later and was an instant success. It’s amazing to think that 2026 will mark the 10th anniversary of the anime, and so far, only four seasons have been released.
Fans love this anime for its unexpected twists, imaginative world, and intense action, and Subaru’s story is set to become even more captivating in Season 4. The new season premiered on April 8, 2026, with both English dubbed and subtitled versions available right away – a welcome treat for viewers who prefer dubs. Typically, dubbed episodes lag behind the original release by several weeks, but this season is an exception for some shows.
Where Can You Stream Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World Season 4?

Currently, you can only watch the anime on Crunchyroll in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. New episodes, with both subtitles and dubbing, will be released every Wednesday starting April 8th, 2026, at 7:00 A.M. Pacific Time. The season is planned to have 19 episodes, and there are no breaks scheduled as of now. Although past seasons are available on Prime Video, there’s no word yet on whether the new season will stream anywhere else.
What to Expect From Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World Season 4

I watched this story unfold about a regular high schooler named Subaru Natsuki. One night, he just steps out of a convenience store and suddenly he’s in a completely different world! What’s even stranger is that whenever he dies, he gets sent back in time. So, the show follows him as he tries to figure out this new world and protect himself from whatever dangers come his way. The latest part picks up right after a huge cliffhanger from Season 3, showing the intense battle for Watergate City against Priestella.
The third season ends with Subaru and his friends winning against the Witch Cult, but their victory is short-lived. After Roy Alphard, a powerful enemy, erases Subaru from everyone’s memory, no one remembers who he is – except for Subaru himself. The next season will see Subaru venturing into a dangerous desert in search of the Sage at Pleiades Watchtower.
The show will cover the popular “Desert Tower” storyline from the original book series, centering on a perilous trip to the Auguria Dunes. Subaru is on a mission to regain his lost name and memories, and during this journey, he’ll uncover secrets about the witches and his own history.
