2025 delivered some fantastic horror movies, and we’re excited to see what 2026 brings. We just received the trailer for ‘Hokum,’ and it looks genuinely scary!
Novelist Ohm Bauman, who prefers to be alone, travels to a secluded Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes. He starts hearing stories from the staff about a witch who haunts one of the rooms, and these tales begin to unsettle him. As strange visions appear and someone goes missing, Ohm is forced to face a terrifying ordeal connected to his past.
The movie features Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, and Austin Amelio. Be warned – the trailer is unsettling and contains disturbing images!
Black Bear, the company releasing this film, has a fantastic track record, having brought us movies like The Son, Dumb Money, Ferrari, Origin, Immaculate, Long Legs, and the Oscar-winning Conclave. Given their history, this film – based on the trailer – definitely seems worth checking out.
