Rhythm Heaven Groove Launches on July 2nd for Nintendo Switch

Nintendo announced that Rhythm Heaven Groove will be released for Nintendo Switch on July 2nd. This news comes even though rumors suggest a larger Nintendo Direct presentation is planned for June. A short clip of gameplay from the song “Slice N Dice Kitchen” was also shared, showing players catching fruits in time with the music.

Following a six-year gap since Rhythm Heaven Megamix, Rhythm Heaven Groove continues the series’ tradition of quick, quirky minigames similar to those found in WarioWare. The game also features voice acting with a charming, sing-song quality reminiscent of Tomodachi Life.

We don’t yet know the exact number of songs that will be included in the game, but previews have shown scenes with geese, cats, aliens, and other fun surprises. If that sounds appealing, Rhythm Heaven Groove is definitely one to keep an eye on.

This news further supports reports from Nintendo insider NateTheHate about their upcoming summer games. He claims we’ll also see new versions of Splatoon and Switch Sports. A new Star Fox game, designed in a classic style, is also anticipated, and an announcement could arrive as early as this month.

There’s a lot of talk about a possible remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which some believe could be released around the holidays. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
