The Green Day film…….

Green Day film news…..

A new movie featuring Green Day is coming soon, and the band has been closely involved in its creation. After their hugely popular 1994 album ‘Dookie’, Green Day continued to achieve success with later releases. This film promises to be a fantastic experience for fans – a little nod to one of their hit songs!

What the Green Day film is about….

Lee Kirk wrote and directed the coming-of-age film Nimrods (originally titled New Year’s Rev). The movie follows three high school friends who embark on a chaotic road trip believing they’ll be opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. The story is inspired by Green Day’s own experiences traveling in a van before their breakthrough 1994 album, Dookie, which later became a double-diamond certified, Grammy-winning success.

Who’s in it?

The movie features a cast including Mason Thames, McKenna Grace, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Sean Gunn, Bobby Lee, and Fred Armisen. Kyle Coffman, Ryan Foust, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Keen Ruffalo are also part of the ensemble. Director Lee Kirk previously worked with Billie Joe Armstrong on the 2016 film ‘Ordinary World,’ and the movie’s title, ‘Nimrods,’ pays homage to Green Day’s 1997 double platinum album of the same name.
