Nintendo, Gearbox, and More Confirmed for PAX West 2025

ReedPop and Penny Arcade, organizers of PAX West, have revealed more participants from a roster of over 200 companies joining the massive gaming event slated for late August. Some of the firms showcasing at the event include Nintendo, Square Enix, Capcom, Gearbox, Arc System Works, and Bandai Namco. Known as one of the biggest gaming conventions globally, PAX West attracted over 120,000 attendees in 2023, according to data from Jon Peddle Research.

On July 24th, a press announcement was made, revealing more video game companies that will be setting up their booths alongside those already confirmed, at the PAX West exhibition.

In the announcement, it was stated that Gearbox, Escape From Tarkov, and Arc System Works are among the new additions to the already impressive lineup of gaming powerhouses showcasing at the event. This includes Nintendo, Square Enix, and Capcom, with over 200 companies participating in total. Previously announced studios such as Wizards of the Coast, Pearl Abyss (Crimson Desert), Larian Studios, and The Behemoth are also present.

The happening spans from August 29th through September 1st, providing various entertaining options for guests to experience while they discover the premises.

Speaking about the impressive lineup, Jerry Holkins, co-founder of PAX and Penny Arcade, remarked that it reminded him of a potent, historic title – “PAX Prime is back.

As an enthusiast, I can’t wait to jump into the action! I’ll have the chance to join in on exciting showcases, interactively play with game demos, grab some merchandise and retro games, or even compete for prizes in tournaments. Not forgetting, Almost Pro, my favorite esports tournament, will be back at PAX Arena this year!

Apart from video game sessions, the event offers a variety of trading cards, tabletop, and board games too, ensuring there’s something enjoyable for all participants.

Fans of board games and role-playing activities can explore options like Dice Throne, Choose Your Own Adventure from Chooseco, and Gloomhaven by Cephalofair, according to a recent press statement from July 24th.

Earlier this month, further information was disclosed regarding the exhibitors at our upcoming event, featuring companies like 9th Level Games, Archon Games, Fib Games, and Ghostfire Gaming.

Holkins remarked, “This past year has been challenging for the tabletop industry, yet the crowd at PAX is consistently supportive of them. I’m eagerly anticipating their new offerings.

Previously, Gearbox Software had shared that they would be unveiling a sneak peek of Borderlands 4 at PAX West. At this event, eager fans might get to try out an early version of the game. The game is slated for release on September 12th, and the team has been gradually revealing enticing glimpses of the game’s environment and playable characters known as vault hunters.

As the event gets closer, the PAX team along with participating studios will provide additional information about the complete lineup of activities and scheduled events. At this point, there’s plenty to look forward to since several events have already been announced. Attendees can expect to play more than 2,500 games in freeplay zones, interact with special guests, and engage with game creators in the gaming community.
