Leenzee Games, developers of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, in collaboration with its publisher 505 Games, have admitted to encountering technical issues that impacted the performance of the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions at the time of release.
The two firms have announced that they’re diligently investigating and addressing the problems that have been brought up, and a quick fix in the form of an initial update is expected shortly to enhance the overall efficiency.
Regardless of some initial technical hiccups, the game has kicked off quite successfully, attracting over 130,000 simultaneous players on Steam. However, it’s worth noting that many PC users have been encountering issues with getting Wuchang to run smoothly on their systems, leading to mostly negative user reviews. Interestingly, the PS Store rating from verified buyers is somewhat divided, standing at 3.69 out of 5 stars.

Titled “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers PS5 Review“, our assessment pointed out certain technical glitches we experienced while playing the game, such as pixelated textures and screen splitting. We suggested potential players to wait for these issues to be addressed in future updates, stating that they would then find a standard, albeit predictable gaming experience. Now, it appears the first update will be activated soon.
According to ElAnalistaDeBits’ side-by-side comparison of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (launch version) in terms of frame rate and graphics, it was discovered that the PS5 Pro doesn’t significantly improve resolution but rather provides a minor enhancement to the frame rate. The resolution varies depending on the graphic mode you select, ranging from approximately 600 pixels to 1062 pixels.
