Alex

Age: 28
From: Exeter
Job: Data analyst
Alex has been in relationships before, but he experiences intense anxiety when things become intimate, leading him to feel a strong urge to leave.
He explains that he sought help because anxiety had interfered with his sex life, making intimacy feel stressful and focused on performance instead of pleasure.
I was hoping to find professional guidance to stop the negative patterns, quiet my overthinking, and learn how to enjoy sex as something safe, intimate, and pleasurable.
Bertie

Age: 24
From: Taunton
Job: Event volunteer
Bertie seems outgoing and confident, but he actually struggles with very low self-esteem. Because of this, he hasn’t had any romantic or intimate experiences.
He’s hoping the show will teach him the practical skills needed to pursue romantic relationships.
Callum

Age: 21
From: Preston
Job: Unemployed
Callum has become more and more withdrawn since his father passed away two years ago.
He struggles to connect with others and hasn’t experienced a romantic relationship yet. He often spends his time gaming or sleeping, but he really wants to learn how to be more open and vulnerable.
I’m really curious to see if this retreat will be the catalyst he needs. He seems to be searching for something deeper, a way to truly connect with life and find genuine motivation. It’s all about whether he can actually break through his current struggles and start living – really living, you know?
Ed

Age: 27
From: Staffs
Job: Unemployed
Ed has Poland Syndrome, which means he has a difference in the development of his arm and hand, and he also has chest scars from surgeries to address a missing chest muscle.
Because of this, he’s very insecure and worried that women will reject him if he tries to get close to them.
He’s hoping a trip to the Virgin Islands will help him feel comfortable in his own skin and potentially explore romantic connections with others.
Ellen

Age: 35
From: Hayward’s Heath
Job: Childcare practitioner
Ellen gets anxious even during simple physical affection, like kissing. Because she hasn’t had much education about sex and intimacy, she worries she won’t know what she’s doing if she becomes more intimate with someone.
After watching the first season, Ellen is hoping a trip to the Virgin Islands will help her become more confident with flirting, explore physical intimacy, and feel better about herself.
Jason

Age: 26
From: Manchester
Job: Postman
Jason is a private person and finds it difficult to connect with others, especially when it comes to romantic interactions or getting close to people.
Rather than be social, Jason is more comfortable at home painting Warhammer figurines.
His friends signed him up, hoping it would encourage him to step outside his usual routine and become more comfortable connecting with women he’s interested in.
Joy

Age: 22
From: Falmouth
Job: Event coordinator
Joy is a deeply religious Christian who finds it difficult to reconcile her natural sexual feelings with the shame her faith sometimes creates.
I recently learned the film tackles a really sensitive issue: vaginismus. It’s a condition where the pelvic floor muscles involuntarily tighten, making sexual intercourse incredibly painful, and sometimes, simply impossible. It’s a brave choice to bring awareness to something so rarely discussed.
She’s hoping this retreat will help her resolve her difficult feelings about sex and discover ways to enjoy it without feeling overwhelmed by her body’s natural responses.
Katie

Age: 22
From: Peterborough
Job: Nanny
Katie loves romance and dreams of finding love. But after being severely bullied at school and cruelly called “the ugliest girl,” her confidence has really suffered.
She believes a trip to the island will help her regain her confidence, and she hopes that will lead her to finding genuine love.
Marianne

Age: 26
From: London
Job: Theatre hospitality
Marianne easily attracts people, but she struggles to develop deeper intimacy. She often feels stuck and unable to move past initial physical affection, like a first kiss.
She wants to overcome her tendency to distrust people so she can fully commit to something new and important.
Millie

Age: 22
From: Dudley
Job: Theatre usher
Millie had expected to lose her virginity during her time at university, but it didn’t happen.
Honestly, I really connected with Millie’s story. She’s just come home after feeling completely paralyzed by fear – fear that’s been keeping her from experiencing something good, like a relationship. She’s hoping this retreat will finally give her the tools to actually find someone and, you know, just live a little. It’s relatable, right?
On the show, she expressed a desire to return to her former self, saying she wanted the Millie who was fearless and didn’t worry about others’ opinions.
Tegan

Age: 25
From: Glasgow
Job: Accountant
Tegan has identified as gay for seven years, but she repeatedly finds herself only becoming friends with people she’s attracted to, rather than starting romantic relationships.
She believes the retreat will help her connect with her sensuality, with the goal of finding a more fulfilling relationship.
Will

Age: 30
From: Solihull
Job: Landscape gardener
Will is confident and fun in social settings but struggles to translate that into the bedroom.
He struggles with anxiety about finishing too quickly during intimacy, which has made it difficult for him to connect with others. He’s hoping this retreat will help him work through these fears and improve his relationships.
