Where Winds Meet Hexi Expansion Finale ‘Qinchuan’ launches on April 30

NetEase Games and Everstone Studio announced that the final chapter of the Hexi expansion for Where Winds Meet, called ‘Qinchuan’, will be released on April 30th.

The latest update introduces a vibrant, ever-changing world map with four distinct seasons, plus a new way to quickly travel around. Players can tackle tough campaigns, battle powerful world bosses, and finally see how the expansion’s story ends. Where Winds Meet is available now on iOS, Android, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

I’m so excited! Everstone Studio just announced that the final part of the Hexi expansion for Where Winds Meet is coming out on April 30th! It’s called “Qinchuan” and honestly, after the amazing adventures we’ve had in the desert and mountains, I can’t wait to explore this new area. They’re promising a huge map with changing seasons, a cool new way to get around, tough challenges with world bosses, and a really satisfying ending to the story. It sounds incredible!

The Echoes of Homecoming & Uncovering the Truth 

Qinchuan marks the exciting end to the Hexi expansion, bringing the story’s central theme of ‘homecoming’ to a powerful conclusion. Through three new side stories, like ‘Taiping Homecoming,’ players will uncover hidden truths and learn what lasting impact this journey home will have. As the Hexi saga finishes, players will find these new stories and connections are deeply tied to the main plot – and might even reveal clues about the protagonist’s mysterious past.

A Living Steppe: Four-Season Cycles & “Idle Wind” 

The Hexi expansion has taken adventurers across a variety of landscapes—starting with the sandy trails of Jade Gate Pass and moving through the icy fortresses of Liangzhou. The adventure now culminates in the wide-open plains of Qinchuan.

The Qinchuan region features a revolutionary map that changes with the seasons. The landscape transforms realistically from the growth of spring, through the fullness of summer, the fading of autumn, and the quiet of winter. These changes affect everything around you – plants grow and die, the light shifts, and the overall feeling of the world evolves. As you explore, you’ll experience not just a journey across the land, but a passage through time.

Players will explore the game world using a new ability called “Idle Wind,” allowing them to move quickly and easily across the landscapes.

Epic Campaigns & The “Snowplum Requiem” 

Qinchuan’s latest update brings exciting new stronghold battles! The main challenge is the Sunken City Lake, a once-thriving fortress that mysteriously fell into a chasm. Players will explore its underwater ruins and deal with dangerous currents. Two other trials await: a confusing, dreamlike waterscape where it’s hard to tell what’s real, and a dark, challenging campaign where you must rely on a single source of light to find your way.

The update also introduces a stunning new world boss: the Snowplum Requiem. This dangerous pair of siblings combines incredible fighting skills with musical talent. When they play together, their music builds to a powerful climax of sound and attacks. Players will need to break their rhythm to survive, or they’ll be overwhelmed by a deadly, snow-covered performance.

This update not only addresses existing issues but also adds a new team-based player-versus-player mode and starts Season 3, titled “Seek Within.”
